So I told my boyfriend of 6 months that I have herpes and he decided to stay with me he told me that herpes doesn't define me and that I'm still the love of his life so anymore with herpes out there better embrace it because this shows that there is still love out there for anyone

Sixth Month Herpaversary

So it’s been six months since my initial diagnoses. So far I have had 7ish outbreaks (not counting the oral ones). When I first got diagnosed I thought my life was over, but I eventually realized it was just beginning. It’s crazy that I have had more happiness in these past 6 months than I probably have had in my entire life. Some days I still feel overwhelmed with the diagnosis, but those days are coming less and less and are much less intense. So thank you to everyone who has helped me figure this whole thing out, you will never know how much it means to me. And for those newly diagnosed, just know it gets better. I don’t know where I’d be with out my friends and without this community.

I have herpes. This is my face, and I’m not afraid to show it. I challenge the other large herpblr blogs to do the same. Stand up and don’t be anonymous. Don’t tell the people who message you to be brave, when you can’t be brave yourself. Fight the stigma, and pave the way for all of those who are newly diagnosed and think it’s the end of the world.
