No, but seriously, I'm glad to be back. And if I don't laugh, I'll cry, so please enjoy this lighthearted post. No *serious* TWs, this is just me being silly and having whimsy. BIG advocate for f1 fans that don’t know anything about f1. It’s so annoying how there’s a god complex with people (men) who think you have to have an engineering degree to enjoy the sport.

I absolutely love people who understand every aspect of the sport and get really into it, don’t get me wrong!! You guys keep it real!! But also, the “you’re only here because they’re hot” or “I miss when we actually talked about the racing” arguments are so ridiculous.

So what if I am?? So what if I just wanna talk about how pretty the shade of Ferrari red is or how Lando looks like a rabbit in some pics??

In fact, since you said that, I’m gonna go out of my way to appear even dumber just to piss you off further. Next man that says I’m not a “real” f1 fan, I’m gonna ask him how many tyres f1 cars have and confuse Carlos and Charles. You wanna play dumb? I can play STUPID.

Idk if any of you are Max enjoyers but bestie got me his plushie from his webstore as a birthday/christmas gift and let me tell you… it is a sensory HEAVEN!!!

ALLOW ME TO EXPLAIN:

His name is Jimmy and he’s just so adorable and soft, but as someone who can’t sit still and often fidgets, this little dude is like a dream. His fur is so soft, his mane is a teeny tiny bit scratchy and very thick, and his toe pads are smooth and rubbery. Not to mention the embroidery on his ears is done so well and baby fine — I’ve been rubbing his ears since I first picked him up. His head is the perfect size for my palms if that makes sense, as I have relatively small hands. His shirt is made out of the moisture wicking athletic material often found on sports jerseys (which I personally love the feel of). He’s not weighted or anything, but he has a good feel to him. His washing instruction tag even hides under his shirt so it’s not in the way!

On top of that, the little lion-shaped tag on it has the cutest message 😭

Even if you’re not a Max fan, even if you’re not an F1 fan, GET A JIMMY!!! It’s so worth it if you have ASD, anxiety, etc — or if you even just enjoy textures/plushies. I’m so serious, I can’t put him down. 🦁

Well, clearly I love Logan and I don’t think he deserves the hate he gets. But I also love Felipe. I understand fan discourse and having differing opinions on different drivers, who they want on a team, who they think should be kicked out, etc. But I also think some fan discourse goes way too far.

If you like Felipe and want him on a team, that’s okay and you’re entitled to that opinion! But to go out of your way just to be mean to someone else or be hateful to their fans? Why?? I mean, none of us are above hate, but I do think public arguments should at least be kept civil.

Sports are sports. There’s always gonna be fans who disagree, and tbh that’s part of the fun! We can all use a little banter! But if it gets to a point it starts affecting someone’s day-to-day life and mental health (ie the Nicky situation), then we need to tone it down. There is a way to have fan discourse without being so terrible to each other! You can like someone without dragging someone else down. You can express your thoughts and opinions in a respectful way. You can even get in arguments in a civil way!

At the end of the day, it’s important to remember both Logan and Felipe are people, even though to us they’re mostly just the little athletes in our phones. And if you’re gonna get THAT angry, why not at least just do it in the DMs instead of dragging someone down so publicly? Idk.

That’s just my opinion, but I’m not much of an argumentative sports fan. I just support my boys and move on with my day.

After he got his first ever points today, I can’t help but hope my encouragement gave him a lil nudge to get there. From him looking me in the eyes and saying he’d push for me, to seeing him finally succeed and get his best ever position to date — it’s been so heartwarming! I know he did that for me, and of course for all of us!

I’m so glad we’re getting to see his spirits and performance be lifted up so much this week. Things are only going up from here! 🥹🥹💙

With all the chatter about Logan, I haven't had a moment to talk about my experience meeting and talking to James Vowles!

It was such an honor to be able to remind James how caring he is, and how much we appreciate his hard work and dedication to our boys. He also gave me an amazing answer when I asked why he keeps pushing and how he stays humble despite the major ups and downs of the sport. I gained a lot of respect for him when he spoke about his way of dealing with the entire team, from the engineers and media all the way to the drivers. He explained it as he doesn't like to "boss" the team around, he instead likes to befriend them, and then work together with them. He gets on their level, then goes from there. He sees everyone as an equal, and truly appreciates their hard work and effort. In any aspect of life, but so much so in F1, this is important.

Not to mention, as a woman in the middle of this crowd, he spoke to me as an equal. And ladies, you know how we're often seen as fans of this sport. James kept eye contact with me the whole time and explained himself in the most eloquent, intelligent way, and not once did I feel like a “female fan," just simply a fan.

He is a stand-up dude, truly. He was so, so, so sweet. A man in his position could choose to be anything, and he chose to be kind. I'm already grown, but when I grow up, I wanna be like James Vowles 💙

P.S. idk if anyone has ever given James a friendship bracelet, but now he has one! I made one in blue that said "Boss Man" and I think he was shocked someone gave him a gift. He wore it all day, as I was the first one to meet him after his Q&A that morning, and said it was a "very lovely" gesture. Not to mention he kept repeating "you're so kind" because of my question. 🥹
