Ive had this idea kicking around in my head for ages- shortbread cookies with faces!

My molds weren’t made from food safe materials so I covered them with plastic wrap.

that’s safe, right?? Oh well, I’m the only one eating them.

Dusted the balls of dough in flour before pressing them into the molds, and they held the impressions better than expected.

Is this a wolf spider?

It’s about the size of a nickel.

I am terrified of spiders. Lately though, I’ve been slowly and carefully observing them, and showing them compassion by sparing their 8-legged lives, catching and releasing them outdoors.

My boyfriend says this one is a male because of the bulbs at the ends of the pedipalps. I said I didn’t want to know what a pedipalp was but he told me anyways hah. Now I know.
