While most players already know about Gulliver’s references to various Nintendo games, in New Leaf, Smug and Normal villagers will also reference certain Nintendo games if the player or the villager has any video-game related furniture in their house. Here’s all the dialogue bits, ripped from the game and compiled into an image. The games referenced are Star Fox, Luigi’s Mansion, and Animal Crossing New Leaf, respectively. 

(Due to the game requiring an object/line to reference in some bits here, I simply put “Game Console” and “catchphrase” to fill in the blanks.)
