You may recognize me if you are into the Broadway world or from films. You may also know me as the daughter to Lailani and Hugo Anderson and the granddaughter of Riza Cruz. I have the pleasure of attending Pacific State University for the past year now and it has been a wonderful experience. After fourteen years of being on the silver screen and Broadway it has been a very refreshing change of scene. Since I have to spend an entire week without you, I agree that we should spend some time together when you come back.

I had a friend of mine record me as I skated on a fountain. If you want to know what happened, you should see the video. I must have been dumb to think it was a good idea. How are you gonna stop her if you’re not here??

Be careful though because as soon as I get you in the same room as me when I get back you will be attacked with hugs and baked goods. And I can’t promise I will let go. 

Watch you get hurt and have my heart broken? I much rather just make all the baked goods it will take to make you feel better. I will use my magical sister powers to make sure it doesn’t. You know those super powers I talked about when we were kids. Totes real.

I think it’s bad and good that you haven’t watched Grey’s Anatomy. It’s been on air since the dinosaurs roamed the earth. I hope so too.

Maybe I should just watch selective seasons or good episodes? Have you found anything yet? If not I could give you some suggestions, if you are interested.

I’m doing okay. Just a regular weekend. The most I’ve done is finish the book that I’ve been currently reading, and then I started another one. Oh, and I made a batch of sugar cookies. Thank you so much! I feel so lucky to have this kid of experience. 

Hey that sounds amazing to me. Actually a perfect kind of day to me. Especially the part that includes baking.

I don’t think anyone had ever been excited about travelling to Arizona, but to each their own! That’s amazing that you’re going to be teaching kids the ins and outs of theatre! What was it that inspired this desire to take on a project like this?

Well I remember meeting a variety of mentors while I was in theatre myself and they really gave me great knowledge and motivation. Plus I feel like I would be able to give advice about still being a kid but being in the business.

Congratulations! Will you be helping them with a play or just mentoring them?

I don’t have any fun news! I went to a party recently and on a hike. But, now I am trying to plan my spring break, so I guess that is fun.

I will be doing both, although it will be more of a mentoring trip since the kids have been working on the show for a couple weeks now. I will just be there to give notes and help them in any way they need me. 

Well that is still very fun in my eyes! Did you come up with any ideas of what to do?

So excited to be announcing that I am going to be get to travel to Arizona for a couple days to help teach and coach a workshop for a childrens/teen community theatre. I have been wanting to take on something like this for awhile and even though it may be short notice I am so glad my agent found it for me and that my teachers are working with me and giving me some credit for it since it will make me miss a couple days. 

But enough about me how is everyone else doing? Any fun news to update me on?

I’ve been watching Grey’s Anatomy since I could remember, and I don’t know– It’s kind of getting boring now. I was pretty sure they were going to end it three years ago, but I guess not. This plot line this season is quite stupid. Jo is a bitch. Arizona is lonely. April is annoying as fuck. Meredith is epic, but yet they are hardly using her this season. Owen is being clingy. Stephanie is just dumb. Miranda is savage– I don’t know what I think about this season. Everything is just rushed in the writing and all that shit. The only good guy that is on the show is fuckin’ Alex. He’s the best character. Let him have more scenes– Actually scratch that– Let him actually have a job, thank you very much. Shoot, maybe I should just watch HTGAWM, and just be done with Grey’s and Scandal. It’s the only show that excites me on a Thursday night.

I don’t know if it makes it a good or bad thing that I have never seen Grey’s Anatomy. I really hope you are able to find another show.

After a few weeks on the road, I’m surprisingly happy to be back. Not that the touring with my dad isn’t great, but his new guitarist gets like horrifically travel sick and I spent so much of this trip holding a girls hair back as she puked that I might as well have been here at PSU anyway.

Did anyone else see that sink whole over in Studio City, and the car they had to pull out of it? California was not built for storms. Everyone be safe out there, it’s not the apocalypse but it still can be dangerous.

That was terrifying, I have been worried for those people all night. I hope that everyone is staying safe and that the families affected are okay.

Well in a blanket burrito in my apartment, obviously.  Also in New York for a majority of my life but I mostly hide under blankets. I guess since it seems like you need it in your life, this can be a for sure instead of a possible. I mean who am I to rob you of that amazing combination.

Yup. I like the thrill of the chase and all that other stuff. Who says that’s not exciting? I’d be down for both of those things, even more so if it all happened in the same night.

Well I have been told that I need to step out of my safe zone before so maybe I can learn some tips from you to try some challenging things. I guess the people who like to go out and party and don’t enjoy a good night in. Oh don’t worry it would all be in one night, I mean what is a movie night without some homemade cookies?

I’ve always been a fan of getting myself into situations I don’t think I can handle, so you aren’t scaring me off one bit. What do they do when they can’t handle it?

Oh really? I always like to try and play it safe, but I do admire people who like a challenge. Oh nothing really, I make myself seem way more exciting then I am! They just always want to come back for you know movie night and the baked goods I make.
