The author's description for the character:

We decided to choose the following age periods for Charles Magnussen (played by Lars Mikkelsen):

a 6-year-old little nerd fawn

a 13-year-old school student, who just can't help but express his opinion about everyone around him

a 24-year-old young journalist who has just been hired permanently by "Ekstra Bladet" (a popular Danish tabloid newspaper) after an internship. as in the case of Hannibal, the last quarrel between the two brothers left a noticeable physical injury - a broken right antler that will never fully grow back

a 42-year-old publishing editor and co-owner of the newspaper (enjoying blackmailing as a hobby)

a 47-year-old Charles who was less (or maybe more?) fortunate and failed with one of his work cases, which led him to the loss of his job and the need to urgently move to the US

Special details:

Charles is a red deer, but he was born piebald due to a mutation caused by vitiligo, and so, as the years passed, his fur was getting more and more pale until it became completely white in his adulthood

he is an omnivore just like his brother

but unlike Hannibal he prefers not to eat meat, and so he uses the force of his jaws and fangs only as a last resort

his original Danish name was Carl August Magnussen, but after he turned 18 and left the family, he changed his first name to the more common European "Charles"

he was the one who taught Hannibal to use "The Mind Palace" technique when they were young

Charles blames himself for Hannibal's mental illness, because, in his opinion, it worsened right after they began to use "The Mind Palace" technique more often

And this commission I made in the end of 2023 for @mschimotoma and her Sherlock BBC + Hannibal crossover AU. She asked me to help her with the full-fledged reference sheets, so the characters' evolution over the years would become more transparent

The author's description for the character: We decided to choose the following age periods for Hannibal Lecter (played by Mads Mikkelsen): - a 5-year-old fluffy cute fawn, just as he should be - a 12-year-old edgy danish teenager - a 20-year-old young doctor who successfully graduated from an international medical school ("Hannibal Rising" used as a reference here), also if you take a closer look you'll notice several scars on his face - the last gift Hannibal received from his brother before they finally quarreled and stopped communicating for decades - a 40-year-old psychotherapist Hannibal (the cannibal) appearing in his most classic style - a 46-year-old Hannibal on the run (post season 3), forced to deny himself expensive suits and visiting restaurants on weekends

Special details: - Hannibal is a red deer - he was originally an omnivore who turned into a carnivore over the years - as an omnivore he has long strong fangs - he likes to kill his preys not only with his jaws but with the antlers as well - when he turned 18, he took his mother's maiden name as his new surname, that's why in his adulthood Hannibal is known as "Lecter" and not "Magnussen" - unlike the books and the TV show, in this AU Hannibal has never had a sister, his fixation on cannibalism is solely the fault of a mental illness

anyway one of my favourite things is when antis bitch that their favourite ships have less content than the “gross” pairings that only “freaks” ship like maybe if you spent less time bitching about what other people enjoy and harassing random strangers on the internet for their ships and more time actually having fun with your ship and creating content for it (or boosting the content other people make for it) maybe they’d have more content, ya ever stop to think of that. like i don’t know how to tell you this but attacking people who ship something different is never gonna make your fave ship more popular or have more content, that’s just not how it works

another one is when antis whine that all the good artists are “““freaks”““ (translation: not antis) or that the ships that they despise have “all the good content creators”

not liking or finding something disgusting doesn’t mean you’re an anti. there are TONS of pro-ship people who don’t like underage stuff like lolishota, or non-con or incest ships or any other problematic, dark things, and want to stay as far away from that stuff as possible. the difference is how you deal with the stuff you don’t like and don’t want to see. do you block people who post things that you don’t want to see, blacklist words and otherwise use the tools available to you to filter out the stuff you don’t want to see, but let the people who make the stuff do their own thing in peace? congrats, you’re pro-ship! if you instead harass the person making that stuff, make public callout posts about them where you call them terrible things and encourage other people to harass them as well in an effor to make them delete their account or stop creating that thing you don’t like? congrats, you’re an anti!

that’s literally all it is. it’s not about what you like or dislike, but how you deal with those things. it’s about whether you can accept that people are going to create things that you don’t like and whether you’re willing to curate your own online experience, or whether you expect the world to change itself to suit your particular tastes and needs without being willing to take any responsibility for what you come across online.

In 2016 @lis-alis​ drew a number of arts with Mr Robot characters represented as animals (MR was a caracal, Elliot was an ocelot, Tyrell was an arctic fox, etc.) as a gift for me.
