i am not afraid to do things on my own. i take myself to coffee, i buy my own flowers, i go on solo road trips. i stay at home by myself on a friday night if i don’t feel like going out, i go to museums by myself, and i’ve found a trick to putting the duvet cover on without it being such an annoying task.

recently, though, i’ve found myself desiring less alone time and more change. i desire to have that other person, that side-kick, that partner right beside me as i go and and do and try new things in this life.

loving and missing you quite a bit, dear. can’t wait to meet and know who you are.

My perfect day would be this: wake up to fresh coffee in the mountains, dress myself in a cozy organic tee, and set off with my novel and sketch pad towards the mountain’s peak. Perhaps I’d find a sunlit field to lighten my heart and practice gentle yoga. I’d hope to run into another traveler of this mountain and we would talk about the weather. If I had some nuts, I would spare some for the birds that sing their morning song. In the midst of my perfect day, all are fed and warm in their homes. People of all forms feel free to love one another and believe in a God that varies in appearance from one person to the next, yet has one message that cannot be translated into words. All animals and living creatures that use this earth as a temporary home are with their families and they are free. They are much wiser than we will ever be- I learn so much from the silent language of these lives. I’ve lost most of my optimism over the past two years, but slowly I am starting to give back my trust. - The trees know this one truth and they will never stop spreading the message..
