this part of the song is so regulus and sirius coded. “feels like we had matching wounds” refers to how both regulus and sirius grew up abused, and without love. 

“but mine’s still black and bruised” refers to how regulus continued to live in that house alone and afraid. 

“and yours is perfectly fine” refers to how although sirius had the same trauma, he left and lived a life with his new family, the marauders. 

“feels like we buried alive something that never died” refers to how the long line of black trauma continued, even after sirius got into gryffindor and left the blacks. it refers to how regulus and sirius still had so much left to talk about and understand each other but couldn’t bring themselves to it.
