Somewhere somehow, there’s a person out there who is glad or could be mad or any emotions that one can have. But as common as it is, emotions drive us towards everything. A person could be mad right now and decided to go on berserk mode, worse on a killing spree. That situation is might be too harsh but it CAN be the reality. There are numberless of crimes out there that were done or countless hearts that were broke because of sheer drive of feelings or emotions.
Having these worse case scenarios, how can you prevent such thing to happen to you? There are lots of ways in controlling one’s emotions but here’s a personal way of mine.
You can never thank this enough for saving you from going on beast mode. Sometimes, taking a deep breath can unloads some tensions inside you and relaxes yourself a bit.
BLOCK EVERY SOUND THAT YOU HEAR
Personally, this works for me on controlling my anger or even ‘kilig’ It is because if I block of every sound that I hear, I’ll only hear myself. That makes me maintain my composure.
On whatever you do, I’ll tell you, you should always be positive. I mean, not like LITERALLY always. Sometimes, being negative can help you block of disappointments from assuming. But on appropriate circumstances, you should always keep positive thoughts. Why? Because it will keep you motivated and decreases your chance of being depress or too stress. It also keeps you from doing impulsive acts.
It’s never been bad to express your feelings if you wouldn’t hurt anyone. Personally, I always express what I feel to someone I am very comfortable with and I trust the most, it’s my best friend and/or my mother. This will help you unload the tensions and they can also help you to control your emotions from overwhelming.
I don’t mean “Go on berserk mode” or something like that. Find something to do that can release all your tensions without hurting anyone. You can shout, cry hysterically, punch the poor pillow or anything. Trust me, afterwards, it will make you feel better.
Whenever you’re mad, depressed or any negative feelings, NEVER think of hurting yourself. After all, someday, you can only rely on no one BUT yourself. So take a good care of yourself because it will never leave you, literally.
