How long should a person dip like chips?

Holy crap! How long has it been since I've even logged onto this account? I'm not coming back, but I should at least answer the question that's been sitting in my inbox for God only knows how long.

Clearly you should follow the actual definition of dip and only stick your chips in briefly instead of scooping up a spoonful of the dip. However, you might want to do dip your chips a bit longer than I do, whereas the dip only covers about a sixth of the chip. Especially if you're alone, the dip may expire before you use all of it (assuming the amount of chips you're eating is at least relatively healthy).
