When your sister comes into town.
People who can read music, what is that like? Do you hear the music in your head? Are you reading notes as if they were individual letters (e.g. A B-sharp)? Is reading music like listening to the song on a radio?
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Look buddy, i’m just trying to make it to Friday.

Concept
Instead of another Ghostbusters movie
Give us a 12 episode TV Show as a sequel
With no promise of a second season, just a 12 episode series to answer all the questions
Give us backstories
Give us real conversations between the characters
More Holtzmann blowing up stuff and more Erin being awkward
More Abby being the mom friend and more Patty slapping ghosts outta people
Give us wAY better CGI than OUAT because like it’s hard
And because it’s on TV
HOLTZBERT COULD ACtuALLY BE PROPERLY CANON
………..do we have a deal
Deal!

Ghostbusters Remake Now Officially Not a Flop
TUESDAY, AUGUST 2, 2016 AT 7 A.M. BY JEF ROUNER
This past weekend the controversial reboot of Ghostbusters finally brought in more money than it cost to make, topping $158 million in total worldwide box office receipts, putting to rest any notions that it would be a flop by not making back its $144 million budget.
“But wait,” a whole lot of dudes who got way too personally invested in seeing the gender-swapped action comedy fail said, “The director said the film would have to make $500 million to make money. It’s never going to do that! (P.S. I’m not sexist).”
American movies do cost a ridiculous amount to market, often more than the film’s production budget. The idea that half a billion dollars is wrapped up in the experiment that is Ghostbusters is perfectly conceivable, and the idea that that money will not all be recouped in ticket sales isn’t far-fetched. However, making that your only measure of success is looking at things in a very narrow way.
Sony is interested in Ghostbusters as a brand, much the way Disney was interested in Star Wars as a brand when they bought the rights for $4 billion from George Lucas even though The Force Awakens brought in only half that in ticket sales. Nobody with any sense would call The Force Awakens a failure, knowing that renewing the film series was basically a license to print money in the form of spin-off media, toys and more.
The same is looking to be true for Ghostbusters. It’s not just a movie, it’s a Top 20 album (No. 1 on the soundtrack charts). It’s a surprisingly successful line of action figures. It’s a bestselling book on Amazon.
Not only that, the rising tide lifts all boats. Know what else is currently a bestseller on Amazon? The original Ghostbusters DVD and its sequel, currently sitting at #38 and #148 respectively. That’s not even counting however many people are streaming them. Renewed interest in Ghostbusters, the brand, is selling a pair of 30-year-old movies like hot cakes and Sony just has to lean back and watch the cash roll in. Heck, the new film isn’t even out on DVD or Blu-Ray yet and IT’S already one of the top-selling movies on Amazon thanks to pre-sales.
Sony has other big plans for the Ghostbusters brand. A new animated television series set in 2050 called Ecto Force is due to arrive in 2018, with Ivan Reitman producing. Sony’s president of worldwide distribution, Rory Bruer, has unofficially confirmed a live action sequel, and we may also be getting an animated movie. That is a lot of Ghostbusters.
The point is that Sony had a lot more riding on Ghostbusters than just a big box office, or they never would have approved that ridiculous budget. When all is said and done at the box office Ghostbusters will maybe not have gotten back every single buck spent making it or selling it in ticket sales, but it will have successfully breathed life into an old property that is making money on everything from fruit juice to children’s books to Halloween cost-OMG THAT IS ADORABLE! It re-affirmed Melissa McCarthy and Paul Fieg as major box office draws, launched Kate McKinnon as everyone’s new favorite comedic actress, and even taking into the mantrum that happens in online movie user ratings, most people enjoyed the film. In short, by every reasonable definition of success, Ghostbusters is one. Period. The end.

WHY I THINK GHOSTBUSTERS IS 2016’S MOST IMPORTANT FILM
I realized the importance of Ghostbusters as I was sitting in my theater waiting for the trailers to begin, when four young teenage girls walked in together, and their excitement was so palpable it vibrating. They were gleeful at the chance to see a group of brilliant, funny, fearless, and kick-ass women, whose exceptionalism, it turns out, would not allow itself to be reduced to sexually symbolic value.
So many girl and women heroes of the screen have traditionally been suited with a skin tight ass-kicking uniform, tailored to open extra cleavage, or leather pants and unmanageably high heels.Ghostbusters features four women who don’t rely on any of that to grab slack-jawed, mouth-breathing attention. I’m all for a woman’s right to own her sexuality rather than shying away from it, but sometimes we need to be reminded (or taught from scratch) that the lack of fabric a woman is wearing doesn’t directly relate to her ability to be a superhero.
The concept of acceptance and belief is one that reverberates throughout Ghostbusters, proving that Feig’s film is trying to send both a cultural and political message that goes beyond fanboys’ spewing hate at the concept of a women-led reboot. Erin Gilbert not only abandons her passion for the concept in the existence of ghosts, she actively buried it after no one in her life believed what she had experienced when the only proof she had was her word. How often still is the word of a woman’s experience doubted today?
Ghostbusters, for me, is the most important film of the year because it’s speaking a language that this generation needs to hear in order to spark change, and those three excited girls I saw in the theater are part of the group who will be responsible for pioneering that change. Because of this film, they’re listeni.

See it again.
Do you consider the Ghostbusters to be superheroes? There’s a debate going on rather the Ghostbusters are superheroes or not.
Well, that is a debate I hadn’t seen before. Are they superheroes? That totally depends on what characteristics you are using to define that term. They lack (and in my opinion, purposely so) any “superpowers.” So, if the definition of superhero includes those as a criteria, then absolutely not.
However, if you were to consider their creation of the gear as similar to Stark’s Iron Man tech or Batman’s hardware, then my answer is more of a maybe.
Want to get closer to a “YES?” Combine the prior with the idea that they are able and more importantly willing to stand up to End-of-the-World threats. Gozer, Vigo, and now Rowan would have been entirely unopposed (new Ghostbusters alludes to a government awareness, but they are clearly shown to be well behind the ‘busters in terms of emergency preparedness and response) and would have easily taken over the world.
I know, this isn’t an answer, right? Well look, if you consider heroes without super powers “SUPER,” then yeah, I can dig that.

This is incredible
Cats and Dogs, Living Together
The first reviews of the new Ghostbusters are about to be released (or, depending on when you are reading this, they already have been) and after watching some of the reactions from both sides of the debate react, I think we need a quick check in.
So, let’s call this post: “What to do if you don’t like the reviews of Ghostbusters (2016).”
First things first, I am an OLD MAN on the internet. I remember being excited for The Phantom Menace and I remember what it was like when the first reviews hit. Same for the first Matrix sequel. Over and over again I have been excited for movies and over and over again some of them have been met with distain from the critics. And to make things worse, there is a vocal and antagonistic other side to the debate that is immediately going to crow and gloat.
Let me be blunt, this is not going to be fun if the critics don’t like the movie.
But wait! Don’t react immediately! If you start going off in someone’s review comments or pick apart the problems with their conclusion, you are no better than the trolls who, I assure you, are sitting there waiting for you. Before you react, ask yourself some questions:
1. Have you seen the film you are about to defend?
If not, then your response to a review can be easily rebuffed. You will not be able to back up your arguments with facts or examples (yes, yes, this is the INTERNET and those things really don’t matter all that much, but I have faith in you and I hold you to a higher standard than the rest of the rabble.).
2. Are you being defensive?
This is the hardest. It sucks when someone yucks your yum, but it happens and it can open you up to many more attacks that will get increasingly more personal. Which brings me to…
3. Are you taking these reviews personally?
It can be hard to get excited about a thing and then have people say it isn’t any good. I know I personally have been waiting for new Ghostbusters for over twenty five years. And on multiple occasions, I have felt personally attacked when people questioned my excitement for this new movie, when I wore a t shirt with the logo on it, and when I wore a flight suit in public. This will be the hardest thing to get past and if you can’t, that’s OK. But try. Remember, you are representing the people excited for this film and we want to be a force of positivity.
“But, but, OLD MAN on the INTERNET screaming at the kids to get off your metaphorical lawn, all you have done is tell us what not to do. This isn’t helpful, what can we do?”
Be patient. Express your excitement regardless. Invite friends to go see the movie opening weekend. See the movie multiple times (if you like it) and above all, BE POSITIVE. There is too much shit in the world right now to let the ugly trolls get in the way. It will be OK. If everyone is MEH or HATES the movie, you are still allowed to be excited. I still love the Matrix sequels, I still have a soft spot for the Prequels; are they the best? No! But, I can still enjoy them.
Much like we keep reminding those against this movie that it will not erase the original, bad reviews will NOT unmake this one.
So remember, be a force for positivity. Be excited.

Don’t let the Bastards grind you down!
Well then, it looks like we didn't need this...
