I really do adore MSR with all my heart, but I sort of wish people wouldn’t ignore everything else about the series for it.

A personal gripe. I’ve seen many say they only watch X-Files for the tension between Scully and Mulder, and couldn’t care any less about what’s going on within their universe because they’re only there for the romance. It’s a tad disheartening.

Of course, X-Files started the shipping term decades ago, and there’s something incredibly special about that, but throwing everything else- especially the other MAIN characters within the series -to the wayside just to focus on the complicated romantic tension between two people seems a bit redundant.
