She sees nothing with them. This hovel, as he calls it, is her shop. Her apartment is above. This hovel is a shop filled with oddities and all manner of “magic”. In the back is her “reading” room.

She can hear the faint sound of items dragging from one place to the next and her face scrunches. She looks more annoyed than anything. “Are you moving my stuff around?” There’s some incredulous sound in her voice. She heaves a hard sigh. “Asshole.”

“Being unfulfilled and being indifferent are different. I am fairly content with my life. I just don’t care much about what happens to it.” The words come out plain. She reaches out suddenly and grabs at the items Jeremiah had moved. Fingers brush over the various items, perfect memory reminding her what is what, and she slides them back to and fro until she is satisfied with their placements again.

“Is that supposed to be a joke? Blown away, really?”
