Wuxia cinema (floaty, fantastical sword fighting basically) has been around for ages with 1971′s A Touch of Zen being one of earliest notable examples. But as it’s evolved, it’s gone from being a uniquely Chinese thing to a style of action many countries borrow from. And here’s an amazing Korean slice of wuxia: Shadowless Sword. It’s a seldom seen little gem with bonkers fight scenes. Take this one. It starts off a bit frantic and just escalates from there. Honestly, if like Crouching Tiger-esque swordplay and feel like you’ve seen the best of the mainstream bunch, give this one a watch. It’s less polished than the art-house wuxia films but it’s a lot of fun.
