((One last headcanon post for To and Ash for now- this time, headcanons on their families... read on below the cut.

To comes from a (now formerly) affluent, aristocratic family from a city on Naboo, displaced by the destruction of Alderaan, but whom had endeared themselves to the Empire, and therefore survived and were able to, temporarily, flourish. They were survivors, and turned on the Empire after the battle of Endor, even sending aid to the fledgling Republic as the battle of Jakku neared. However, their fortune turned sour when the Final Order came knocking; they were left penniless and without To, their son, forced to give their fortunes and To alike to ensure their survival, and forced off Naboo by unsympathetic citizens who remembered their previous allegiances to the Empire. They found their way to a backwater farming planet, far from the galactic center, and far from Exegol, and began a new life, healing and farming on various plots of land. That is where To’s story, with Ash in tow not far behind, finds them...

Ash’s family was not so fortunate as To’s before his departure. They were a family of smugglers and failed bounty hunters, living in the deserts of various worlds, from Jedha to Jakku to Tatooine. They eventually came into such hard times that, when the Final Order came looking, they willingly presented the young Ash as a candidate, if only to get him off of their own hands. Ash’s family’s hardy background is clear in him, as is their penchant for reckless abandon. He does not know his name from when he was their son, and he does not care to know. They are of little consequence to his story, according to him.

Each To and Ash retain some traits from their nature, but their nurture has certainly changed them from what they might have once been.))

((Physique headcanons below the cut... (yes, that means shirtless!To and shirtless!Ash, so if your muse is ~interested~ in ~shipping~ with either of them or both of them, this is the post for you, or, rather, your muse)

To’s physique is Jon’s physique from the Punisher; he’s not massively muscular, but he’s big enough, and he’s not super defined, but he’s defined enough, if that makes sense. He’s not a bodybuilder, but he’s strong and sure.

Ash’s physique is Frank’s physique in the movie below, which I don’t recall. He’s big, and defined; he’s very regimented and strong, with a focus on keeping, well, focused. He runs himself ragged, and anyone could probably tell.

The two of them are both strong, by nature, and by training, but To is not as regimented and religious per se about his musculature as Ash is, because he’s not as given to the job, since he has different aspirations. That’s my basic thoughts on that for now.))

((Some headcanons for Ash and To and their looks at the start and then further into their story/stories below the cut...

This is basically Ash’s look when he first leaves the Final Order to look for To; he’s got short, regulation typical hair, and a neat bit of stubble. He’s very by the books, and keeps uniform at first.

Meanwhile, this is To’s when he deserts to go look for his family– so close to regs he’s beyond them, hair trimmed very short and very little stubble, but wounded from his battle with rebels.

This is more Ash’s look as time goes on; he loses his regs-concerned look, and grows his stubble into a slight beard, and lets his hair get longer on top, if not so much on the sides, as much. He also consistently gets into fights that leave him, more often than not, with some injuries. (Lots of cantina fights, often because of his search for To...)

To, as time goes on, grows his hair out as well, a bit like Ash, but leaves his stubble as stubble, unless he’s really trying to fly under the radar or doesn’t have time to shave. He doesn’t feel natural with anything more than stubble, really. He usually sports some bruises and injuries, too, but not nearly as much as Ash, unless something’s really gone down.

So that’s their basic looks, along with their armor, courtesy of their Final Order vendors before they wandered off, which is easy to see with Sith Trooper and Sith Jet Trooper, respectively for To and Ash, of course! I’ll detail a bit more about their looks as necessary, but that’s it for now.))

the cantina has long since gone quiet. ash did his business and left, but he’s still keeping an eye on it; after all, he didn’t learn much valuable about where to might have gone.

any onlooker would likely think him a dangerous loiterer; he’s big, certainly more muscular even than to, if shorter than the other sith trooper, and he’s got the kind of rough good looks that lend themselves to such a character. he’s happy to play it; right now he’s focused on intel-gathering, not making idle conversation or casing everyone who walks by to judge as quickly as possible in the circumstances of being in a crime-ridden city on a backwards planet void of order if they’re a threat.

he’s got his jet trooper rifle slung under his coat, black bantha-leather, and the round barrel is a comforting, if cold, presence against his spine through his shirt. he reaches back and clutches at it every few minutes, in fits of concern that it might be gone, somehow. certainly, if to got the drop on him, it could be.

he stays knelt in the alley, on top of the old, run down speeder, behind some empty crates, until he decides he’s not getting anywhere. only then does he emerge onto the road in front of the cantina and breathe hot air between his hands, veins singing with annoyance.

the final order will have his head for the sith eternal’s leaders if he can’t find to...

the sallaros family- once a family of aristocrats on an up and coming frontier world, now hermits on a backwater, running a listless series of farms and making a meager living- is to’s connection to the galaxy outside of the final order. so why does he feel so disconnected from them?

he ruminates for a long time on this, letting it stew in the back of his mind. eventually, he comes to a conclusion.

which is how he finds himself in a port, mission forgotten, head on (relatively) straight after getting it knocked to hell by a rebel, and with a bacta patch on his still-broken nose, heading to the only place in the galaxy that might be ‘home,’ in the general sense of the word.

he fiddles with the datapad, offline in his hands so he can’t be tracked by the final order (namely ash, who’s undoubtedly been sent to find him, by now), and wonders if the few people who know to sallaros now will ever see him again. he knows ash won’t know the man he’s becoming, no matter how little he’s really changed. he’s not sure how he feels about that; he’s not much outside of a sith trooper, for all the effort he’s made.

but he wants to be.

the dark and the light. (drabble/headcanon under the cut.)

yes, ash and to both serve the dark side. nonetheless, there is an element of light and dark to them both that complements and contrasts. to is a cold, calculating individual, but he is less emotional and less prone to fits of violence. he is more likely to remain friendly longer, despite being more unfriendly, largely, than his counterpart. ash, on the other hand, is an emotional and warm individual, but he is prone to rages that cause him to lose control as a result of this emotional simmering. he is more friendly, but can lose that side and turn sullen or angry quite quickly.

further, they are each soldiers, but of different varieties. to is more ambitious, and less comfortable; he is aware of his family’s history as aristocrats on his homeworld, and despises that he was taken from them to become nothing but a sith trooper in service of an old emperor. ash is more happy in his position, disinterested in the truth of his life, but is forced to strike out on his own when to disappears into a mission separate from the final order’s posts.

they are a pair, yet separate at the moments we meet them. they are brothers in arms, and yet vastly different men, who somehow are as similar as they are opposing sides of the same coin. they are a trade off, both dangerous.

I’m going to revamp this blog again, this time with a temporary focus on S/W muses, and possibly a Marve| muse or two in the near future, that way I can try to get re-used to RP and not get RP burnout/writer’s block again!

I am working on some original fiction (I’m very excited but it’s hard work so it’s time consuming) separate from RP so I might dedicate some good portion of my time to that, but I’ll try to keep up with threads as closely as possible.

For now, the two muses I’m going to focus on are going to be my two Sith Trooper OCs, To Sallaros and Ash, with my Death Trooper OC, Jon Barron, being inactive, as well as my long-running AU of Linco|n Clay as Ghost Rider being inactive for now, but both still listed nonetheless. John Wa|ker is currently cut as a muse, since I didn’t really enjoy his portrayal in the show and don’t have any muse for him lately.

For my own comfort, I’m probably not going to bother with icons or a bunch of super fancy formatting at the moment. That will (likely) return later, if I so desire it. I’ll add muses and formatting, etc., as I feel like it. I’ll also be keeping my threadcount to a minimum, for now, and leaving my blog so that it doesn’t add to the tumblr tags so I can stay low traffic.

I’ll probably do small text for threads to still have a little stylization like I enjoy, and big text with the brackets like on this post for OOC. Or maybe not! We’ll see. I’m here to have fun, so that will decide!

Anyway, glad to be back! Hope to have some fun threads soon!))

the streets of the city are streaked with rain and shining with the reflection of the remainder of the neon glow of the city’s many signs and other screens formerly well-lit, left behind in the blackout that’s left almost all but the emergency billboards dark and silent. there’s a distant hum of a Covenant engine weaving through the concrete jungle of New Mombasa but it soon fades, leaving nothing but the tapping of the rain on the pavement of the evacuated megapolis.

JD– or, rather, the Rookie, as Alpha-Nine, his team, seems to insist on calling him– whistles to himself as he walks, knowing his helmet will keep the sound in. it’s comforting; he doesn’t speak, can’t really remember if he ever tried it, but sure doesn’t know, and so the whistle is the closest he comes to hearing his own voice– save for pained grunts and groans when he’s in a firefight, which isn’t exactly pleasant, by any means. so, the whistle– it’s his voice, and he likes to use it when he feels like it, even if that’s not often, and he likes the sound of it whistling much more than any other way he’s tried to listen to himself, so he’s whistling some tune he heard on a warbling radio once upon a time.

he wonders where his team is. he hopes they’re not dead. even if he didn’t know them very well, he’s still their brother in arms, and he’d like to think that he’ll be able to run a mission with them sometime where he’s not just sleeping for the first six hours after having slept through the briefing, too– not that it’s his fault that the drop pod hit against Mickey’s and knocked him awry so that he’d hit a building and be knocked unconscious. that was all the Covenant’s in-atmosphere slipspace jump’s fault, thank you very much.

is he thinking a lot? he thinks a lot all the time, except for when he’s sleeping, but it seems like he’s thinking even more than normal, because something about not being able to do anything else is really getting on his nerves in a way that feels like a shadow hanging just over his shoulder, brushing softly against his back. he sighs into his mask and hefts his silenced submachine gun as he tries his best to refocus on the task at hand– hoofing it to the nearest piece of evidence of where his team’s disappeared to, not to mention trying to figure out this odd conspiracy with the city’s superintendent AI that he’s been picking up on from pieces of audio recordings left all around the remains of the megapolis.
