Ok but as a dysphoric trans man the whole βyou need dysphoria to be transβ actually baffles me because even tho Iβve always has crippling dysphoria, it didnβt actually help me figure out my gender at all. I usually dismissed my dysphoria as βinternalized misogynyβ or just not being feminine enough, which actually just caused me worse dysphoria.
You know what made me figure out that Iβm trans though? Gender euphoria. The minute I got called a βsirβ is the moment that I realized, βshit this feels right.β And at that point I realized that I could no longer deny the fact that Iβm not a woman and that I couldnβt keep living as one.
Hereβs a hot take: maybe being trans isnβt so much about how uncomfortable you can be in your AGAB, but rather how much more comfortable you can be.
I kinda hate it when people dig up offensive jokes or whatever from 10 something years ago from someone and somehow that ends up being more important than the person they are today and the ways theyβve improved and educated themselves over time. (Not to mention that in the past when it came to a lot of offensive humor and social issues times and the general opinion/available widespread information were very different.) Thatβs just actively telling everyone that no matter what, change doesnβt matter. Why improve yourself youβre always going to be the person you were in the past and we can and will hunt you down for it.
What kind of message is that? As if weβve all been so woke and flawless in our entire existence.
By all means hold people accountable for causing harm and call them out to explain themselves or apologise if needed but why would we keep attacking those whoβve obviously grown, apologise and learned and pretend like that doesnβt matter one bit in the grand scheme of things and then punish them for it forever. Iβm just so confused by that attitude.Β

happy International Nonbinary Day, yβall!

Every single white lesbian who has spent years complaining about the lack of lesbians on screen had better support The CWβs Black Lightning.Β
Anissa Pierce (portrayed by Nafessa Williams):
is a canon lesbian with superpowers (who goes by the name Thunder) who has, among other abilities, the power to make herself invulnerable (this means sheβs essentially unkillable-although she can be hurt/injured!)
Her comic-canon girlfriend Grace Choi (Chantal Thuy) has already been cast:
Grace is half-Amazon, and has superhuman durability and rapid healing abilities-which also help to make her relatively invincible!
Also, theyβre really cute in the comics:
So basically-support this lesbian, interracial, basically invulnerable couple on the CWβs Black Lightning-airing January 16th, 2017!!!!!

The thing I hate about coming out is the way society expects it to go down.
When gay people come out, more often than not they are expected to almost have to beg for their families love, and if they receive it without having to, they are expected to be over the moon and rejoice and be thankful and think,Β βwhat loving family and friends I haveβ.
The way coming out should go down is the exact opposite.Β
Families and friends should almost have to beg for your love, and should most definitely be apologetic for the homophobic shit they most likely put you through whilst you were still in the closet. They should be like,Β βIβm sorry I was a bigoted prick all these years, I hope you can still love me and forgive meβ.
The thing that bothered me the most when I came out was that my families reaction was just, βof course we have no problem, we love you no matter whatββ¦ when what I really wanted was an apology. An apology for having been ignored for years, an apology for having to sit though homophobia not only by them, but by my extended family and their friends. But what I got was,Β βof course itβs not a problem, now lets not talk about it again and lets not bring up all the horrible shit that we said to you openly or allowed to be said about gay people openly because we donβt want to feel badβ.
It bothers me so much to this day how much society loves to praise straight people for being so accepting of gay people but no one ever praises gay people for accepting and loving their families through the years despite all the homophobia.

You know who donβt get NEARLY enough love? Fat trans men.
Every fucking media portrayal of trans men is as a super thin white guy with clear skin but like, fat trans men are the best.
They give really good hugs + cuddles and are super warm.
Iβm also really just here for mentally ill fat trans men. Y'all are great and youβre trying your best and itβs obvious. I believe in you boys. I love you all.
God bless fat trans men. And you better BELIEVE this includes the ones that struggle to pass because of their weight, extra round of applause for them.
the scots are great
