Wow, I'm currently on the novel chap 50 and I did read the manhwa chaps up to 39 and what did they fo to my girl???? Why does it feel like the manhwa is trying to hetbait? Like not only with Baek Yiseol but like, every girl now has a crush on Hoyeol? And they nade Yiseol way less bitter and more pitiful???? There sure are some changes happening here huh.

I've also noticed thta they've made Hoyeol way more flashy in the manhwa which, while does make sense for a visual medium as opposed to a read medium, still makes it seem like he has way more power in the manhwa than he does in the novel which is probably why it's getting some slop allegations in the comments. Like, my man is cool yeah, but he does not have that much mana at this point in the story.

Now that I've more or less caugh up might just full on drop the manhwa and continue with the novel.

OK, so

I know I only got into webtoon chapter 38 before switching to the novel so I could be talking out of my ass here and DO NOT SPOIL ME, but.

I do know my cardinal sins and I have to say that with the very very overt emphasis on Granfells eternal PRIDE that is so strong that his whole character is built around it, that is said to be stronger that anyone elses, that is CONSTANTLY REFERENCED IN THE STORY!!!!

I have some concerns for the future.

You know in hindsight,

It would make sense, that if something seems pretty illogical for how games work, such as why Hyoel has such low looking stats even at higher levels, that the answer was always in the novel and they just kinda. Skipped it. Like, I know that Demon slayer was a shitty class with mid stats but knowing that everyone starts with 1 stat point in everything and you gotta manually add those points up (1/lvl) as you level up it starts making a whole lotta more sense. That's a pretty old school stat system so I really didn't think it would work like that.

Add to that that they are running basically naked (no gear) through these fights and those ridiculously low stats make even more sense.

Thank god I found a decent translator for the novel.
