I got into the "Beware the villainess" manhwa because I kept seeing fanarts of Lloyd and Melissa getting along, but now that I'm reading it I feel like actually Yona is his soulmate.

I think part of the reason its hard to find Villainess stories that I love is because the male leads are generally so bland.

Doesn't help the fact that Not your typical reincarnation story was one of my earliest Isekai/transgression RoFan so my tastes have been spoiled.

Killian Rudwick is such a well written male lead, so flashed out and multi dimensional. Nothing will compare to him.

After him , the number of MLs I have found interesting can be counted on the sections of one single finger😭😭

Like, Lloyd from from I will live the life of a Villainess really good, though I feel like they diminished his moments near the end a bit. Nevertheless, a great ML.

I had hopes from Alexandros in Divorcing my tyrant husband but that went south so bad I hate to think about what they did to my conniving asshole of a tyrant.

And although she isn't an ML, Alicia Magentano from TGED is such a wonderful love interest.

I love Isekais with good stories, like the one within the villainess, I'm the villainess so I am taiming the final boss, but for the love of the lord I can't seem to remember one thing about their MLs.

When when when will I have non cardboard cutout love interests😭😭😭

javier is so committed to not engaging with his own feelings i firmly believe one of the reasons he taught damian to tease and mock rakiel was because he couldn't stand seeing this fun house mirror of himself walking around with a besotted look on his face 24/7. he probably took one glance at damian being blatantly in love with rakiel and went "fucking lock in rn you're embarrassing both of us"

man you really get the feeling that asterion kinda wished rakiel would just,,, stop being alive at the beginning of the novel. not because he wanted him to die, but because he felt foolish for wishing his own child would survive. like. he cannot stand that he still has hope for his kid's recovery. he despises having a rakiel shaped weakness he can't get rid of. he just wishes he could be done with the whole thing and stop getting his heart broken every time he's reminded of how little time rakiel has. but he can't! that's his son! no parent will ever stop wishing their child won't be sick anymore and get better! he will carry that hope for as long as rakiel lives! so. he kinda wishes rakiel would just. stop being alive. so he can finally stop being a fool for hoping he'll recover.

the truly hilarious part of this is that you'd think this would at least make theo the default favorite child but you'd be wrong! theo is such a non-thought in his father's world he doesn't even get to participate in the two person contest for favorite child.

rakiel at least registers in asterion's mind as "this child", "my firstborn", "eldest son" and he cares enough for him to be mad at him for being deadly sick.

theo is "the second one" to asterion. "second prince" if he's being formal about it. "your brother" if he's talking to rakiel.

like. imagine being such a terrible dad you're actively wishing for your son to hurry up and die already and you still somehow care more about him than you do for the whole other child you have on the background.
