i keep seeing the "loki is 17 in earth years" thing circulating again and im gonna lose my mind (partially bc its being used in shipping discourse) and im genuinely curious if were supposed to think he would be that young / or early 20s physically in the first thor through avengers??? (and therefore also the show lol)

this was based on the "asgard to earth years math" based on odin possibly being 5000+ and loki being 1047 in thor 1 and 1048 in avengers and taking the human average lifespan and long story short the math turned out to be "17" which is stupid for multiple reasons...

main one being bc i feel like ..... thats kind of like when people say oh my dog is this old but 70 in human years! it doesnt really mean anything

but i only started thinking abt it again bc i saw that in a what if episode coulson referred to thor 1 thor as mid 20s ...?

and further hemsworth called thor 22 in a behind the scenes thing for (love and thunder i believe? or maybe ragnarok i dont remember) so now im curious is loki really supposed to be like somewhere between 17-21 physically and im losing my mind over people making it fucking weird

asgardians (ik hes not asgardian but im assuming jotuunheim has similar maturity rates or whatever) clearly age differently so equating their maturating to human years would be dumb anyway right like . clearly if loki and thor rolled up to earth they would both be adults ? and were also treated as such on asgard?

anyways im overthinking but its making me feel WEIRD (esp in regards to shipping bc i deadass saw a sylki shipper say u cant ship lokius bc of lokis supposed earth years age like.... baby thats a grown ass man....and wasnt sylvie also supposedly like 1000+ older than him as well...so....)

“prob hates it when u love him” I WANNA CRY. cuz like in most of my fics (and most that i see) i write him as desperately wanting to be loved/loving that kind of attention from someone and now im like ok wait am i wrong in this characterization??? would he fucking hate someone being sweet on him? or does he mean this in a sense of like... eddies prob terrified to be loved/isnt used to it bc my heart breaks viewing it that way.

cuz like as much as i personally want to be loved it is also terrifying to me and i tend to shy away from it when it presents itself (especially in romantic partners) so if thats how eddie is,,,... god i love him more. let someone love u eds u deserve it. </3 like.. hed rather be hated than loved????

Idk much abt jamie but I understand ppl not thinking it might be about Joe bc he’s so low-key and shy and quiet it’s hard to imagine he could be “crazy” like the person who submitted the blind said..but I wouldn’t put it past him.

I honestly am just SO curious as to WHAT exactly she meant by calling him “crazy/insane/erratic”…like how? Give me an example pls bc those things are not necessarily BAD things, but her tone was so negative i simply must hear more!!

About the crimes she could’ve been talking about the selling and buying drugs. Or the fact that the townsfolk believed he killed Chrissy.

And abt Eddie not being that crazy i agree, but that was bc he was scared and hiding most of the vol 1. Before that he really had more of a “chaotic” vibe to him. The cafeteria, how over the top he was playing DnD, in the woods w chrissy throwing himself off the bench for a joke..maybe that’s what she meant bc Joe himself said that he had that characteristic in common with Eddie: chaotic, and he didn’t want to explain why lol

RIGHT yeah i feel like joe also does not give off the “insane rich boy” vibe like she described in the post based on what ive seen of him? idk much about jamie either but after watching one interview i guess he sort of does seem a bit... odd but i could be biased since i love joe so much. jamie seems like more of the rich boy type considering hes been in a couple big franchises and joe has been primarily in smaller things, idk. 

but yea i feel like “crazy/ erratic” may not mean bad, since im sure so many of my exes could describe me as crazy when i just have adhd lol. could just be a case of an ex that simply did not match his personality? i really wanna know why she said that. joe does seem a bit quirky and silly from his interviews but idk. the “gwenyth paltrow on lsd” part just does NOT seem like joe to me but with so little about him its hard to say. 

joe and eddie both seem chaotic/manic in a good way but vecna/henry creel seems like the bad side of crazy, although mainly just creepy. cuz i feel like although eddie is portrayed as rather manic its in a way thats supposed to make the audience LIKE him (especially in the woods scene) but jamies character is sort of mysterious/suspicious from the start. do you remember where joe described himself as chaotic?

I hadn’t thought abt him as “rich boy” either BUT both his parents work in the film/(i guess theater as well? Idk) Business, and his first ever work after graduating was dickensian and although he’s never been in big productions like st before, idk i don’t think he ever had to have like a 9-5, but that’s just me assuming. First time i read the message i was a little off-put by the tone of it and a little :/, but then I thought exactly what you said: maybe just different personalities!

I just think it’s joe, man..jamie is literally the villain..He has to do the creepy/evil thing (although when I first watched I didn’t think it was creepy or suspicious lol) i don’t know anything abt him but i don’t think anybody would be like THAT. For her to say how similar he is to the character it just HAS to be joe, for me.

Yeah he called himself chaotic in that “no filter” interview he did with gaten, i think for netflix latin america cause the questions were in spanish. They both play guitar, he could’ve said that lmao first time I watched that interview i was like “you?..chaotic?..really??” And then he didn’t want to explain and i was just like UGH 💀

how eddie could survive/ theories about THAT clip in the trailer down below </3 (bc im paranoid after seeing that fucking new trailer)

just to be clear im talking about the shot of dustin screaming. we can tell hes in the same location that hes teamed up w eddie in. i just wanna go over all the possibilities here cuz i am SCARED.

- most common theory ive seen is that dustin is in fact screaming for someone else. steve is prob the most likely guess here (ive....also seen a lot of people suggest that steve is going to dress up as eddie in order to protect him but. i dont see why steve would be the one getting killed if he was impersonating eddie while in the upside down....?)

-seen some theories he could be screaming for lucas, and even suzie? i could see these being possibilities but only through vecnas hallucinations. which brings me to the next theory

-vecna has dustin in this scene and dustin is hallucinating someone dying, OR he is trying to run toward eddie/ steve screaming for help

-in one of the trailers there is a similar clip of dustin screaming (he looks slightly more distraught and in a new location? in the newest one) but i have seen theories that they ARE the same clip, but as we know in one of them eddie is actually standing behind dustin. i do see a possibility they could have filmed two separate clips to throw people off (they did something similar in marvel when age of ultron was releasing trailers to not give away quicksilvers death (rip king)

-we know josephs stunt double is confirmed for the final ep, (but so is mayas and i believe joe keerys so this could mean nothing lol) and im PRETTY sure those set photos of eddie in the bandana (that also kinda look like he has handcuffs on) are his stunt double. in these same set photos dustin is walking with them, in the same outfit in the shots weve seen in the trailer. and eddie has his gear off that hell be wearing in the guitar scene, so i can only assume they were about to film the other scenes weve seen of dustin and eddie. the handcuffs are what is throwing me off. i GUESS the cops or even jason could make it into the upside down and dustin is screaming at eddie getting arrested but like.... i feel like if either of those groups got into the upside down theyd be a lil less concerned with making an arrest.

- eddie could also simply just be in danger and not actually getting killed here. im sure if dustin saw steve getting attacked by the bats in that one scene he would react the same. but since dustin and eddie are alone here, it does make me slightly more worried that he wouldnt be able to defend himself.

-on the topic of defending himself (and unfortunately the deaf theories..) we know from the new trailer dustin and eddie are standing back to back, and look like there trying to keep something back. eddie literally just has a bat and a trashcan lid to defend himself so i do unfortunately think he could realize they both wont make it out alive and sacrifices himself so dustin can get away. or, they both make it out but at the last second something gets eddie. 

really hoping they do NOT go the eddie death route, it seems far too predictable but then again i think bob’s death in season 2 was (mostly) predictable ??? i sort of cant remember what i thought back then????
