Simply my favorite film, ever. If you haven’t seen Orson Welles’s post-war masterpiece, you’re in luck—it’s currently streaming on @netflix. Noir filmmaking at its finest, with so many classic lines its hard to choose the best. The chase scene through the sewers of Vienna contains cinematography that is copied even today.⠀ ⠀ The zither soundtrack set off a legitimate music craze, when the movie premiered... Last night I saw an incredibly moving, haunting play by Winter Miller - "No One Is Forgotten". A terrifying exploration of captivity, it features two stunning performances that truly should not be missed.⠀ ⠀ Set inside a cell with no exit, the play focuses on the relationship between two captives who can rely only on one another for comfort, safety, and survival. A timely piece reflecting on the plight of journalists and activists held hostage by ruthless captors, it embraces the darkest and brightest in human nature, and shines a light on experiences we hear about but dare not imagine.⠀ ⠀ This is a play that haunted me for hours after watching...
