it was much too big to be called a sword . . ... Massive, Thick, Heavy, and Far Too Rough
Maybe I'm completely insane looking for parallels in "Berserk" (I can't rule that out either), but the scene after the speech at Primrose Hall and the scene after Griffith and Guts' second duel seem very similar to me.
The stunned, lost look of the one (OMG, their eyes literally break something in me) + the cold, distant gaze of the other.
Then there's the shocked expression of the one + a distant figure looking in the opposite direction.
These are precisely the moments when everything fell apart. What unites these scenes? A BROKEN HEART. Rejection. Those moments when both thought "You don't need me, I mean nothing to you".
And they were both wrong.
this dog is fucked up bro
Just wait, Griffith. I'm coming to save you.
BERSERK (1997)

Tears of the hawk
i felt sad after reading it :(
“For no reason at all”
Animating the balcony confession and decided to render a frame. Genuinely such a romantic moment, when you first read the “there is no reason” you’re like what… that’s so lame… then you think about what Griffith’s character conflict is and you go oh my goood Guts makes him stupid. That’s the point
Berserk, vol.6 Kentaro Miura.
deep sigh why am i doing this to myself
