@musereel
been gone for a while, but COYOTE KISSES!
Ellie Goulding, "I'll Hold My Breath."
I love this song. I could listen to it looping for hours.
I feel so high I could fly Was born to reach for the sky Oh no, I cannot deny this feeling And I just hope you can see That there is no holding back in me I'm already in motion.
Ola Svensson, "Given to Fly."
I'm prancing around my room. It's 4:40am, and I can't sleep because for the first time in my life I de-wussed a little. It's been two hours and I'm still skipping around. I'll probably get crushed in a day and a half, but in the meantime I might as well allow myself this irrational, disproportionate happiness.
Too. Much. Talent. In. One. Video.
This kid is amazing.

Took a slow walk in the rain and kicked puddles. Splashysplashy!
Lochte! (but so sad for Phelps. But I'm going to ignore that for now since this is, well, High5.)
I LOVE THIS PERSON (from sonikar).
Hours of flaily talking with sonikar. ^_^
Gave myself an exercise-day off.

Breakfast with the CEO. Whee!
Enthusiastic discussion of how awesome the new Esplanade playground with the zipline is.
I adore my new dress. Now I have to make one just like it, but with a different print.
Olympics! Time to start stalking all the swimmers and gymnasts.
Friday. =)

It's hard to get the attention of people at work sometimes because we all have headphones on. So one of my supervisors decided to get a mini nerfgun to shoot at people across the room.
A project milestone finished today! Whee!
I think I'm actually getting used to this exercise thing. Huh.
I am awesome at sauces. Or so I like to think. Or at least it matches my taste in food. And I haven't made any atrocious concoctions yet.
The triple indoor-umbrella comparison contest above the cubicles at work. Now I must acquire an awesome umbrella.

Listened to Andrea Bocelli all day at work. Absolutely beautiful.
Tech writer coming out of hiding. YAY MINIONS!
Making mockups in photoshop for work. Very simple mockups, but it made me realize (for the millionth time) that I really just like making things look pretty. Or sound pretty.
Finally went to the library and checked out some books.
ERMAHGERD TRERNSLERTER amusing me all day, courtesy of ERTHERN.
Andrea Bocelli's voice is heavenly.
I have been super slack with violin, and I tried playing Tzigane yesterday and got into a bickerfest with my out-of-practice fingers. It was sad. My fingers are mean.
My fingers: LOLNO
Me: SCREW YOU I TOTES GOT THIS
My fingers: LOLNO
Me: GODDAMNIT THIS TOTALLY WORKED A COUPLE MONTHS AGO
My fingers: LOLNO IT DIDN'T
Me: OKAY FINE MAYBE IT WORKED A YEAR AGO
My fingers: LOLNOT ANYMORE

Acquired a Squirtle on the way to work. I wanted a Charmander too, but decided to refrain so someone else can have it. And now I'll have an adorable little Squirtle with me while I work. (1.1: Sonika: "omgomg I got a charmander.")
These jeans fit a little better than they did two weeks ago.
Deborah: "oops I just typed in 'andrew suck MIT'"
Accidental 4-hour nap. Kind of ruined my elaborate post-work plans, but it was so nice...
Scrubs. I love Dr. Cox.
Skye Sweetnam, "Tangled Up In Me." I didn't listen to anything other than classical music (unless you count the random traditional Chinese things I listened to because my parents did) until around 7th grade. I never listened to non-classical, non-NPR radio until then, but one day my dad got me a random radio/MP3 player. I started playing around with the radio, and when the static noises cleared up, the first thing I heard was this song.
For years I had no idea what the song was, and all I remembered was "I'm the girl who's kicking the Coke machine." I hadn't yet integrated the internet into my life, and I was too shy to ask anyone. I never heard it anywhere else after that except in 8th grade when a girl in my PE class started randomly singing it while we were playing tennis. For some reason, I didn't ask her what song it was.
I forgot about the song for a while. Sometime during senior year of high school, I remembered, applied Google Magic. and found the song.
Probably should've just sucked it up and asked someone. But it's a nice memory.
Sometimes I wonder if people I have significant memories of have no significant memories of me.
I want to do something that makes people's lives better by making them happy, instead of something that makes people happy by making their lives better.
I probably don't know what I'm talking about.
It's been a long time since I've met someone this curious.
I think I mean that both ways.
I love my job, but there are neverending snacks at work. Today I gave in and ate three pieces of those Dove dark chocolate squares, and in order, the little wrapper messages told me "Open your eyes to all the love around you," "You don't need an excuse. You just need a moment," and then "Take this moment. Enjoy it."
I swear even my chocolate's taunting me for my wussiness.
