One he opened them again they seemed darker, as the mark on his arm started to glow softly.

Just letting everyone know, most of Yugioh muses follow the anime plot line, the only exception is Duke, who combines the two. Because I feel the manga gives him a more concrete explanation on why he is the way he is.

Did he really expect the other one to understand? Probably not but he still had to try as it seemed. The reaction was as expected. Crow really didn’t understood. Friends… were they really? After all that had happen? Yusei really wasn’t so sure about that. No… it wasn’t really that he doubted that Crow still saw him as a friend it was more like.. Yusei wasn’t so sure if he still deserved to be the other ones friend. 

“I died. And then I tried to kill Jack.” It probably was only the smallest piece of information he shared here but it summarized it rather well, didn’t it? “You still wanna call me your friend?”

Those words caused the other to raise his eyebrow. Sure, the other had some questionable choices. But their entire lives were full of questionable choices. The marks on Crow’s face proved that enough. Though Crow had good intentions, Yusei had become a dark signer. And Crow still questioned if those people 100% had their heads on straight. “.... You weren’t the same back then, Yusei! Let me have a chance ta help ya! we’re bros remember? What kind of bro leaves one hangin’?” Stubborn as always.
