i just had a dream about a competitive vertical jump anime, the main characters family bullies him relentlessly for having a lame vertical to the point it’s ingrained into him.

during an important match that he’s team was traveling for or some bs he loses and beats himself up over it for days and doesn’t get out of bed. when it’s finally time for the last match he won’t get up and when walking past him his teammates start knocking his shit over and breaking it.

one of his teammates takes pity on him and makes him get up and gives him a pep talk about some

“your uncle is ugly anyway.” idk.

anyway. pep talk works and he goes to the competition and when he’s up he’s sweating bullets, he starts thinking about his family and suddenly he locks in.

he’s like “THEY DIDNT EVEN THINK ID BE HERE TODAY!”

in that classic anime yell talk before bro jumps with an INSANE vertical it’s not even humanly possible. i’m talkin like 10 feet in the air.
