These lyrics wrapped themselves around my brain when I heard the news of what happened in Christchurch, New Zealand, today. There is so much senseless violence, it breaks my heart. Will there ever come a day when this song doesn't feel so grounded in reality? When it doesn't hit this hard because the subject matter has become obsolete? How I wish there would come such a day. And how far off it seems.
