what we did last month... :)
sightseeing with Orphaned Land @ Brandenburger Tor, Berlin
Get some overseas flavor into the rotation of your favorite songs and acts! These Israeli imports sound a lot like music you already love, yet totally amaze on their own. Rethink your library, and ...
check this out, there are some great artists mentioned for every genre. :)
I made it to a show! 5 years after I bought the first CD. :)

I got a message with a request to put all the videos I post on the blog into one youtube-playlist. So I did. :)
thanks for the idea, I'll update the playlist with every song I put. :)
I can't believe I haven't mentioned the wonderful Orphaned Land before! I remeber about 5 years ago some friends told me about a metal band from Israel and I should listen to it. Usually I'm a bit picky about metal, I don't like too many bands of this kind because I didn't like the growling and noise many times... but it was different with Orphaned Land, I loved the way they combined heavy sounds with oriental melodies. And some songs are in hebrew and even arabic - that's how they got me. :)
So, my all-time-favourite. Asaf Avidan. "Who's that girl singing" my friends always asked. Then I showed them a picture. After years and years travelling to shows all over Germany I was lucky enough to see some shows in Israel as well. Now all my friends recognize him and tell me they heared him on the radio again and again. And even since that terrible remix almost everybody should know about that very special voice.
I have to add this beautiful song to my blog as well - and the cover-artwork is my work :)
