Thoughts: Oral Hygiene
I recently found out I won't be having dental or optometry care for the upcoming year so I got really interested in taking care of my teeth. Perhaps too interested? This always happens when I become fixated on a new subject or video game or hobbie--how can you do it most efficiently and most effectively?
Should you floss before or after you brush your teeth?
Should you rinse after spitting out the excess paste in your mouth or let the tooth paste work its magic?
Are you brushing too vigorously and correctly? (I've read that you should target a few teeth and rotate the brush in a 45 degree angle so the bristles don't damage the enamel and then brush in small circles)
Should I get these plaque disclosing tablets to see how dirty my mouth really is?
There's this Emmi dent Sonic Toothbrush that uses ultrasound waves to blast away your plaque and you need to use this special tooth paste with microbubbles that are 1000x smaller than regular tooth paste bubbles. All of this for almost $200! Okay I'm going overboard on this. I just wish I was into taking care of my teeth when I was little and that I never stopped wearing my retainers at night.
