If I see one more fic in the AEW tag that includes AI-Generated text I'm going to become insufferable.

"But writing fic is hard-" DO HARD THINGS!! THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO BE HARD!! THEY'RE HARD AT FIRST AND THEN YOU GET BETTER!! You know how things become easier?? If you do them your-fucking-self.

"But I want to write this fic and I have trouble coming up with the right words-" Practice. Practice and look things up and do a fucking shred of mental work so that your brain doesn't shrivel up like a raisin in your skull because you did everything in your power to not have to exercise it.

"Saying that you can't use AI is ableist-" what if we stopped infantilizing people with disabilities? What if you stopped infantilizing yourself? People with disabilities don't need to use a shitty fucking AI robot to write - they can do it all on their own, in their own ways.

I am imploring you to stop writing fic with AI. For one, you are instantly inserting plagiarized content into your work by using AI, resting on the hard work of others. For two, writing fic is such a passionate, human endeavor that will make you better at writing in so many different ways. The ACT of writing is immersing yourself in a media that you love, it's participating in the act of creation and creativity. Why would you deny yourself that act to churn out a shitty, half-baked piece of crap that has stripped the soul out of other people's work and regurgitated it onto a page?
