Weekly crowdfunding milestone post! Week 6!

As I've gone over my car is kind of fucked right now and not drivable or repairable at the price I can afford. I'm fundraising for a month's transit costs roughly, the expense of the tows/"repair"/first week of ubers, and for some of the down-payment. Ubers on my commute average $25-30, and I have a little saved for the down-payment. For this week the goal is $250 at least, as well as ideally the unmet goal from previous weeks. I'm making weekly posts in hopes that this will encourage donations. I'm also dealing with unexpected expenses and trying to secure housing after getting out of a hostile and discrimatory housing situation with my landlord.

i’m reapplying for SNAP, and i’m applying for medicaid. the idea is that if i’m not paying for food and medical costs, i’ll actually be able to save up and get the hell out of here. but until then, i’m going to need some extra help. 

living in this house is an actual nightmare. my dad nearly broke my door down earlier in a fit of rage because someone got into his liquor and he automatically assumes that everything is me, even though i’ve made it very clear that i have no desire to drink, ever. 

i just wanted to get out of the house for a minute but when i got in my car today, i was met with the wonderful sight of zero miles to empty – someone had taken my car and used it without my knowledge and didn't even bother putting anything back in the tank. my bank account is in the negative due to an automatic payment coming out, so i couldn’t even go and get gas. it’s hard not to feel hopeless when i’m thousands of dollars in debt and the people in my life are doing everything in their power to make my situation worse.

please consider helping a disabled queer person get their life back together

you've probably already seen a few of my posts floating around. in case you haven't, long story short; i lost my job several months ago and haven't been able to find another one willing to make accommodations for my disabilities. i have diabetes and need insulin every day to survive -- the price of that, along with my other medical necessities (medication, doctor copays, etc), makes simply existing very difficult. i've been relying on commission money and the generosity of others just to survive.

i am so tired of just surviving. i need serious help. i have a few very kind people willing to walk me through the process, but i desperately need out of my current living situation. it's a very toxic + abusive household that is stifling my ability to grow at all. i am in debt with no way to pay it off ($1,000) and i also need to somehow afford a car (which will be several thousands of dollars). just the thought is almost enough to paralyze me with fear. it's very very overwhelming. especially when nowhere in my small town wants to hire me. i have to do all of this before i can even consider moving out. i'm struggling to even keep myself alive, it's nearly impossible to save any money at all.

In the city known colonially as london, ontario (Treaty 6, along the Deshkan Ziibi), there is only one drop in centre dedicated to supporting our local sex workers (it also serves as an LGBTQ+ hub), and it is on the brink of closing for good at the end of march if they cannot raise 50k across different avenues. Chronically Ill Hexagon asking for help

im desperate

on July 4th i returned home from a small family vacation and caught something on the plane that triggered a bad crohns disease flare. i went to the ER twice in excruciating pain and each time they sent me home telling me it was just a stomach bug

on July 17 i finally got my remicade infusion 2 weeks late, and on July 19 i had a gastroscopy. on July 24 i had a CT scan

i still havent heard about the results from either, and my specialist hasnt returned any of my calls asking for a letter so i can go on medical leave

my workplace similarly has NOT responded to my request for a Record of Employment, which keeps me from going on EI

i have not been able to work since July 4th and have had zero money coming in because i cant apply for EI without any of the paperwork ive been asking repeatedly for. after barely managing to pay rent, im solidly at -5 dollars

this entire ordeal has been awful. i feel like im being failed at every opportunity by medical professionals and my workplace and i dont know what to do. i can barely eat, drink, or walk without pain, and while im slowly recovering, i still dont know when i'll be able to return to work

so im asking here for help. for anything to help get me food i can actually keep down while i recover
