Dear Future Self,
First off, if you are reading this, what the fuck are you still doing on tumblr? you better have a fucking good excuse for this. Get off your ass and do something important!
And to everyone else who is reading this, you really don't need to. It's boring stuff anyway.
How are you future me? I hope you have moved on from any rough moments in your life. You will always find new loves, new friends, new interests; don't let a lose destroy your life. Remember this time, when you broke up with Laura? That was a shit kicking to the heart, wasn't it? But you got over it, fortified yourself, made amends with her, and you both grew up to be better people in the long run because of it. You promised me that you wouldn't even consider about getting back together with her until you finished university, REMEMBER? I hope that's true, or I swear to god I'm going to kick you in the balls. If you have moved on though, I'm proud of you, you made a strong step forward in life for us that I thought I could never have made.
Second, How's mom and dad? Are you still treating them nicely? They are doing the best they can, and I hope you never forget that. They will always love us, no matter what we have done wrong. You should be grateful for parents like that. It's becoming a rarity to see that now a days. How's Josh? Are you talking to him sometimes? You should be, because he is your only brother. He may be far away, but technology is an amazing thing. Don't let him pass you by.
Do you have a job? I hope you do. It's August and you should be working for the summer to earn money for school. I hope you passed your courses... I'm kind of worried, but I know we've been though a lot of tough situations before. Just.. don't give up on yourself ok?
You're a good guy. You know people have said it before. You're nice, you're caring, you're funny (and hopefully not a complete asshole). You are smart, you may do stupid things from time to time, but don't let that stop you from being that intelligent guy everyone knows you can be.
Do you have a girl(or boy)friend yet? Or are you struggling to keep your foot hold? Look dude, it's no big deal, you're 21, you got like 4 years to go before you should be getting worried. Either way, just be yourself, let it come to you, and don't be afraid to have fun. You might lose them, but there are lots of people left on this planet for you to meet.
I guess what I want to say with all this is... It's hard sometimes right? what can you do when really the world comes down to what you do in life? You have family and friends, but you have to believe in yourself. I believe in you bud, I know you'll make me proud someday. Don't forget to say hi to 2014 Mike for me ok?
