I’m falling for Domino jesus christ
Cable & Deadpool
“I used to have various types of neato battle armor, back in the day. My old standby, the tight catsuit has been my calling card of choice lately. Not that I’m complaining!” Domino stroked her black, suit clad arm lovingly. ” Nothing beats the feeling of this suit on a cold night, if you get my drift” She smiles widely. “I’m glad you find that functionality and comfort have finally found a happy medium at last. Undercover missions? That sounds intriguing”
Chuckling and providing a nod that she understood, Peggy then explained, “Yes. Undercover. Sometimes, it’s more than just simply entering into a war zone or hazardous area with weapon in hand. At other times, I’m sent to events and specific whereabouts where I’m told to blend in. Costume and makeup time then is a-go. It’s not always for a kill or combat, although from time to time that has been a result, and I usually do carry a concealed weapon as a safety precaution, but it can be to acquire information by overhearing discussions, mingling with the necessary people, and even setting up some situations to uncover truths and see reactions when determining who are targets and main players in a mystery. It can be quite thrilling.”
"That sounds very exciting. I wish I had more undercover work like that, because usually I'm asked to bust in and out of places guns a-blazin'. Of course I enjoy that too, but looking normal for once, on a adrenaline filled job, amongst the shuffling masses, that sounds appealing." Domino's hand instinctively glides up her face to rest on her left eye, marked forever by her former life as an experiment. She too notices her chalk white skin, further distancing herself from the "normal world". She looks back at Peggy, normal and electric, and a small smile appears on her lips. "It does sound very nice"
“Truer words have never been said! Being taught something is fine and all, but nothing beats real experience and mistakes made. When a rookie expects me to pick up their slack, like it’s no big deal, thats what really irks me. That’s when my claws come out. I should get a permenant mark on my forehead or something, with the warning ‘does not play well with others’. *Domino smiles and tilts her head* I find that I’m always learning something new on the job, all while expertly dodging certain death or backhanding a noisy merc or two. That’s what kids these days need to get in their thick skulls. Job experience is the real make or break”.
“I hear you. It’s only fair to do what was assigned or needed to be done and take responsibility. Leaving it to someone else to deal with it without a good reason can be an annoyance. Also, what you say is true. Experience really does matter,” she agreed with a sigh. “We train really hard to get ready for whatever it is that’s out there or could be. Got a Danger Room and all too where we set up simulated situations that we could find ourselves in and get to experience them and what we would do ourselves first-hand. It’s the closest thing to the real deal physically. Sometimes I wish that combat wasn’t always the answer, but it’s a sad truth to the world out there and certain things can hit you when least expected and not even provoked.”
"Yes, training is very important. Especially when it comes to learning to think on one's toes, making split second judgements for better or worse." *Domino's eyes light up as an idea strikes her* "I've heard of the Danger Room. I've always wanted to have a looksie at it, but the opportunity has never come up, or the time. Do you think it would be possible to have a tour?"

“Domino is my name, pleased to meet you”. *she extends her hand* “I’m a huge fan of your work”.
Alison takes the other woman’s hand, “Nice to meet you Domino, I’m glad you like it! You can call me Alison.” She smiles warmly, “It looks like you and I are going to be seeing…
“Oh?” Ali tilts her head inquisitively, “Has something happened to Cable, was he up to no good?”
“I’m not exactly sure what happened to him. I think he was needed in a different time and went there. Who knows when he'll be back, ya never know with Nate. That certainly doesn't mean we can't still get to know each other" *domino looks meditative, then smiles at Alison*

Alison takes the other woman’s hand, “Nice to meet you Domino, I’m glad you like it! You can call me Alison.” She smiles warmly, “It looks like you and I are going to be seeing a lot more of each other, if I’m not mistaken. You’ve joined with Cable on his X-Force team, right?”
"Alison it is". *Domino shakes her hand warmly* "Yes, it's true that a team has been started, but I think we will be taking a long, indefinite vacation for the time being. That certainly doesn't mean we won't be seeing each other though".
“Mercenary work mostly, though I have been known to do steady team work when the occasion calls for it.” Domino said as she walked alongside Janet. “It’s not the easiest work in the world, but I find it very rewarding in itself. I’m not ashamed to say I’m damn good at what I do. It’s my craft, my reason, as I should think fashion is for you.” Domino turns her head to glance at Janet with a smile.
“You’re confident. I like that. It’ll get you far.” She said, opening the door to the little coffee shop for Domino. “Nothing wrong with being proud of your work. I’m quite proud of my fashion business. It’s booming. And of course, I’m not too shabby at saving the world either. I’ve done it quite a few times.” She stated, smiling.
"Yes, I've heard of some of your exploits, your reputation proceeds you. Especially your work with the Avengers. However, fashion is also important too. With the way people today put such weight on it, I wouldn't be surprised if it too tries to take over the world. *Domino laughs* That wouldn't be a problem to me though, I wouldn't mind a little fashion totalitarianism, well with the advent of crocs and pajamas as clothes. *Domino enters the coffee shop and makes her way to the menu displays*
“Right about now, teaching really isn’t my style.” Domino yawns nonchalantly “I like to work alone if I can help it, I don’t need the liability of some youngling hanging over my head. Though if someone steps their toe out of line, I’m not above putting them back in their place.”
“Some people work best independently. I can understand that,” she acknowledged with a nod. “I’m kind of like that too in the sense that I’m not afraid to call out when someone’s in the wrong. We can all learn from our mistakes. Makes us stronger and better for the next time we find ourselves in a similar situation. I had to be taught that and others have to too. We all learn from each other.”

“I like the sound of that. Breaking rules while still getting the job done is what I live for. Putting the baddies away and looking good in a tight catsuit is just icing on the cake.” *Domino laughs heartily* “I’ll always have a little nostalgia though for the times I could spot a bad guy from a mile away, those silly oufits. Must be the times, sleek and black finally caught up with me.”
“Must be the times indeed. Mostly these days I’m dressed in black too unless undercover on assignment and told to wear something more fitting for the occasions or events that may arise. At headquarters, it’s mainly black, dark blue, or grey. Honestly, it beats the the brown and green I used to wear, but those outfits had some symbolism behind them so I can only look back fondly. I do have to admit though that modern day fashion does do what it can to make one more comfortable which is greatly appreciated,” she replied with a shrug as memories of how uncomfortable some of her former clothing used to be on her. “What were you former outfits like?”

“It’s times like these that almost make me wish for the good old days, when baddies were like an infestation” Domino laughed. “Not that I’m complaining, but too many quiet nights and I start getting the urge to cause a little mischief” She smiles slyly.
“Not to mention that they stood out in some way. Ego getting the best of them, stand-out outfits, not-so-secret headquarters…” Peggy began to list from the top of her head with a grin. “Those were the days. I’m not complaining either, but one must become more attentive to seek out those who aren’t as visible and loud that can be just as damaging or more so too. A little mischievousness isn’t completely bad. It can get certain things done that can’t be done otherwise. I may have broken a few rules myself on the job. I was careful but to follow the rules exactly? No. Not I. I’ve bent a few.”

Domino’s eyes widened as she listened to Jean’s impassioned speech. “My, my, a jack of many trades. And yes, honesty is always the best policy. When you are in my kind of work, deception gets a little old.” Domino had seen it all when it came to the lengths people would go to get their way, including trampling on others for their time in the sun. She hoped she wouldn’t have to witness much more. “Teaching the younger mutants must be fun, I bet you get a kick out of that right?”
“I suppose I do. It’s rewarding to know one’s helped and to see how far they’ve come. The Professor opened many doors for me when I was younger and helped me in ways others couldn’t. In a way, it’s kind of my giving back all while having fun too,” she admitted with a smile. “Have you ever helped train or teach others in your line of work?”
"Right about now, teaching really isn't my style." Domino yawns nonchalantly "I like to work alone if I can help it, I don't need the liability of some youngling hanging over my head. Though if someone steps their toe out of line, I'm not above putting them back in their place."

Disintegration
Domino stood crouched over a large boulder, her back to Cable. She didn’t turn to meet Cable’s entrance, she merely motioned for him to get low to the ground with one gloved hand, a pair of binoculars held to her face in the other. “You certainly took your time.” Domino said slowly, trying to keep her voice quiet. “I’ve already had a good look around, it looks like a pretty well guarded facility, but nothing we can’t handle. From what I gathered from my sources, the guard will be changing soon.”
“I ran into a few snags, they have been dealt with.” Cable said pronning down beside her surveying the base with his own pair of binoculars. “Lets go over the mission plan once again, we’ve been hired by some unsavory characters to steal something from another bunch of unsavory characters. Our objective is to steal the fiber ionic fibrillator which should be deep inside the base. Any questions so far?”
"Nope, none at all. Let's just get in and get out, quick and dirty." Domino took the binoculars away from her face and turned to Cable. "So how do you want to break in? I brought some plastic explosives from home if you want to blow our way in. I'm not against that fun option." Domino smiled brightly as her eyes lit up with glee. "Or... we could sneak in, but thats not any fun. You got any ideas in that head of yours?"
