I don't know if anyone has talked about this, so excuse me if they have, but...

Everyone talks about how Jax is the youngest cast member, but guys, Caine was created on October 30th of 1996, or at least his file on the computer in episode 8 was labeled with this date.

The show is set around 2016-2017. That would mean that Caine is, at most, given that I highly doubt he was sapient right out the gate, 21.

Furthering this, he was 3 when he absorbed the other AI and created the circus. He was 12 when Ragatha joined the Circus.

That being said, he is an AI. You can’t really hold him to the same standards as a human. He can’t have a childhood because he can’t be a child. You also can’t hold him to other human standards, either. He didn’t have the innate behaviours embedded into him that a lot of human children rely on. He had to learn those on his own or through others.

Which is cute, and sad, because you can see him mimicking others in the show. Like Ragatha’s arm gestures and Kinger's hand movements.
