Daud nodded her way, and continued on down the hall silently. It was a long winding corridor, with numerous doors along the way. At certain points they had to pause and wait for guards to pass, creeping from shadow to shadow, blending in. Now and again, a foolish guard got in their way with no sign of leaving… forcing Daud to either launch a tranquilizer dart into their throats, or choke them out, as he’d done with the others. At long last, making sure the area was secure, the doors to the dining room resided before them. Activating his Void Gaze, Mark glowing again, he peered into the room, watching as their target, the glowing nobleman in question, remained where he was, feasting without a care in the world. A couple of servants were in the room with him, bringing different dishes, refilling drinks… everything a nobleman expected. Other then that, there were no guards they hadn’t already taken down together, or that weren’t on patrol on the lower floors. At last the masked Whaler deactivated his power, rose upright, clutching his sword, and looking to the hooded young woman, grizzled voice reaching her quietly, leaning in and murmuring into her ear. Last thing he planned on doing was giving their position away before it came time to strike.
“He’s all yours, Miss Frye. I’ll deal with the servants. Last thing we need is them pulling any alarms, calling every guard and Watchman in this district.”
