Edge of Midnight Swap AU

Dame Lethica Nightborne was once a drow paladin of Stryga, now a cunning vampire knight bound by oath to the Duchess of Sin. With beauty as sharp as her blade and temptation as her greatest weapon, she gathers power for her devil mistress while quietly plotting the day she’ll sever the leash around her own neck and claiming that same power for herself.

Marius Renathyr is a man who forsook both his god and the life of knighthood after the death of his closest friend, wandering until a Death Loa offered him the strength to never feel powerless again. Now a bounty hunter wielding a soul-devouring rapier, he carries out Mister Crossroads’ grim bargains in the desperate hope of restoring Victor to the man he once was.

I FINALLY MANAGED TO DRAW EMMM this idea has been plaguing my mind for months Imma be honest,, this AU swaps both their class and dark gifts! Anything directly affected by those are changed and adjusted as well :]

I have a lot planned for em teehee so stay tuned also yes Lethicus is still canon in this AU but they're way more of a slow burn bc yes

i just realized i completely forgot to share these. midnight odyssey (info under cut)

lethica - gorgonite deepsworn cryptist (i have a fuckton of lore about the mask and yes the gorgonite eye thing does impact the bite scene)

marius - laika nanomedic soldier (ex-cavalon, tied unwillingly to instinct discordant. his features are a mix of golden retriever & german shepherd.)

for the others who i have not drawn yet we have briggsy as a boomdoctor mechanist, jericho as a symbiote esper, farryn as a hivemind primalist and yorgrim as an arbiter enforcer

Before the night

Thinking back to the Crooked Moon as I'm rewatching the last 2 episodes of Edge of Midnight and how it's very interesting that Marius is so accepting of the Duchess in EoM during his metamorposis. Not because it's surprising but rather because of what it means for Marius.

The Crooked Moon is supposedly all of their bad endings, it's another world where they all made the wrong choices and ended up becoming crooked themselves. Jericho lost control to Virgil/Raum, Briggsy was consumed by his greed, Lethica basically became a Sharran/Shar herself but with aliens, Farryn lost herself trying to bring back her wife, and Yorgrim ends up being posessed by the Shroud. Now Marius ended up becoming the champion of the Crooked Moon's Duchess of Sin, Viraxys, and was basically an evil vampire abbot tryna raise more undead for his "goddess". That's why I find it so interesting that in EoM, he took an oath to her. It's clear that it's a bad choice (tbh I lowk think she's lying to him) and I know that Marius' motivations are different in EoM, but it's still the same concept of being under a devil because he felt like he had no other choice but to accept it and the monster he had become. It was also because of losing someone he loved. In EoM, he found out that his king had died before pledging his oath and, in the Crooked Moon, he only fully accepted Viraxys after Lethica found him and was terrified so she left him. It's why Marius in Ep 32 IRKS me because all I could think about was the Crimson Abbot every time he spoke, especially with his mannerisms. But I am very intruiged on where Andy goes with his character because of it! He's also so unnecessarily mean to Jericho so I hope he dies actually

One is a patron and class swap AU, one is a "what if they all died in ep 24" and ended up in Druskenvald reborn as the new races but they're in the Crooked Moon timeline so they meet the worst versions of themselves, and the last one's a Neon Odyssey AU where they're all hired by this rich elite couple known as the Druskenvalds

Will they ever see the light of day? Maybe idk
