Today is August 12, which means it’s the 7th anniversary of the lads’ performance of Rule The World at the Olympics. Tumblr won’t make me upload the official video posted by the Olympics themselves, so this’ll have to do.

I … still kind of think this is the most special performance of Rule The World they’ve ever done. You obviously have Gary dealing with … you know, and Mark smiling at him so protectively, and Howard doing his thing, and then you have Jason just soaking up the last performance he’ll ever be doing as a member of a Take That, and the fireworks lighting up the entire stadium at the end. I have many feelings about this.

Take That’s reaction to winning best British single at the Brit awards 2007 after the band had been away for 11 years. The shock and happiness on their faces always makes me emotional. You can spot in the second gif, Gary stays sitting in his seat and he looks so insanely happy and it makes me want to cry after all he went through in “the wilderness years”.
