Y'all really need to get over this hurdle of thinking that just because a group is a minority it automatically makes them your ally. The majority of American Muslims have shown over and over again they hate LGBT people (especially LGBT Muslims, since nonbelivers are already going to hell) and they don't want their tax money going to help us. Muslims deserve freedom of religion and freedom from intolerance, just like everyone else, but they're not uwu smol beans, they're the second largest religious group on the planet.

And can we PLEASE stop with the belief that because Muslims are an oppressed minority in the US, that's true everywhere? Muslims aren't oppressed at all in the Middle East. They're fine. Islam is the state religion of several countries. Jews are not oppressing Muslims worldwide. The idea that Jews have more power than Muslims in Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, etc., is fucking laughable.

Christianity isn't always the oppressor, either. There are marginalized Christians who are being harmed. (In Palestine, that happens a bunch. Christians are very much the minority!)

The demographics in your country apply to your country and that's it. Stop thinking that racial issues will map onto another country half a world away with an entirely different history.

There's a disconnect happening here because the primary function of social media for most casual users is to form a circle of friends around the usual things that friendships are built on: shared interests and lifestyles and ideas of what is important and what is unacceptable. When people are mainly doing leftism on social media, this encourages thinking of leftism as centered around establishing high-minded social clubs.

For anyone who still isn't getting it from someone who helps people IRL: There's a difference between whom you're helping to feed at the mealshare and whom you're choosing to hang out with for fun after the mealshare. You don't have to invite a hungry person with opinions you don't like to play board games with you, but you do have to help keep them from starving if you're serious about leftist organizing.
