The truth
unjustified
People should be ashamed of themselves - ADHD is stigmatized by peers, teachers, neighbors, family members, and by themselves. Some parents expressed strong concern about having a child with ADHD move in next door; they were also unwilling to allow their child to befriend or to be in the same classroom as a child with ADHD.
What are the symptoms of rejection-sensitive dysphoria? As mentioned, the key symptom of RSD is intense emotional pain. That pain usually has to be triggered by rejection or disapproval. However, people with RSD often have difficulty describing what it feels like because it's so intense and unlike most other forms of pain (emotional or otherwise).
always the extremist
If you have ADHD, it's important to know that a love of stimulation can lead some people with ADHD to enjoy fighting — they are so interested in what could happen next that they underestimate the cost of conflict. On the other ehnd of the spectrum, some with ADHD cannot handle the overwhelming stress of conflict and so retreat emotionally or physically when placed in a stressful conversation.

Attendees also have the option to attend the conference online. This conference brings together a multi-disciplinary group of experts who share their research and interventions on ADHD.
Who Should Attend:
The conference will include content specific to educators, counselors, parents, adults with ADHD, mental health professionals, and medical professionals. The program is valuable for DHR workers, social workers, school nurses, disability ministries and home school providers. Likewise, anyone involved in the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation efforts of children and adults with ADHD will benefit from attending.
People with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder need to be strong and resilient regarding being judged, labeled as something else, or misunderstood. As there can be many negative connotations regarding this neurodevelopmental disorder, a good level of information campaign can go a long way in changing people's outlook on ADHD. This is why it is essential to know what ADHD is, not to better understand the condition and how to support somebody who has it
