Training my nervous system to choose an unfamiliar heaven instead of a familiar hell
show yourself the patience and kindness you would for those you love, because you deserve to be someone you love
Motherhood doesn't come with a paycheck, but motherhood costs us our figure, our sleep and much much more. Now as a mother and grandmother, I can boldly say, "It's all worth it." It takes your all to raise a respectful, kind, God-fearing, productive human being.
The Bible tells us that women will be saved through childbearing, if they continue in faith, love, and holiness, with self-control” (1 Timothy 2:15). This verse isn’t saying that women earn salvation by having children. It means that the process of motherhood sanctifies us. It teaches us to be patient, selfless and more reliant on Jesus. Motherhood is a high calling. Sometimes, we mothers feel helpless and inadequate. We feel like a failure. But trust me, when we depend on God, He will turn even our failures into victory. The best thing you can do for your children is, pray. The Lord will teach them valuable life lessons.
Isaiah 54:13 says, "All our children are taught of the Almighty.
Mother, be encouraged, God sees all your efforts, He will surely reward you.
a thought that always crosses my mind every Good Friday (and Holy Week in general) is how terrifying it must've been for the Romans. Dragging a man through the streets, beating Him, torturing Him and leaving Him to die in the most agonizing way possible and when He finally does die, that's when they realize that what he was preaching was true, and that despite everything they did to Him, He still died for their sins to forgive them.
How terrifying it must've been for the centurion on the hill to realize in that instant that the man they persecuted, tortured and killed was the Son of God.
