My surrealist self portrait inspired by my love of west world
I have never been good at surrealism.
A small sketch in art from months ago.
Monochromatic landscapes and trees. I'm not very good at drawing trees, so their a little wonky. I was told to try to make the trees lighter colors as they went farther into the background, but they looked weird. I painted the trees over with black. As a whole, I like the picture. Not my best trees but I love how the background turned out.
Final project for 2016
A poorly drawn one point perspective drawing of a city skyline.
Another block drawing, but this time with colors! All in all I'm not the proudest of it but I'm ok with it.
Still life.
I suck at self portraits so it's going to be covered for my own self esteem to not cripple away. All in all a good page 3 with some surrealism and a nice quote.
I'm way more proud of page two, especially the giant squid and my rendition of one of the people in Pablo Picasso's Guernica. It almost feels right in a way to balance off a good top half of the page with me messing around again at the bottom half of the page. Again there are some words in my custom font which finishes the page quite nicely.
Not the biggest fan of this first page, especially the top parts which was me messing around. You can see an alphabet on the right: that is my own font that I created and you'll see that a lot in this book. I'm most proud of the bottom half of the page with my parody presidential banner and the compass (even though I messed up on it.)
My last hour to draw before the summer came and went. Good bye TreeHead! See you in August!
Moved my statue to the third floor of my school and began to draw my heart out.
I've decided to draw a couple of big symbols and then little doodles to surround them.
With only a solid week (two days really) to work on TreeHead before finales my plan is to draw doodles all over it. As a whole TreeHead is finished but I believe this project will be always a work in progress with me needing to cover the whole body with doodles. As a whole I'm proud of it, over the years hopefully I'll be able to have free time to draw on it before I graduate. And even though it did not come out as I thought it would I'm very proud of TreeHead. Side note: I will still be posting pictures of my drawing progress on TreeHead. But I will probably dedicate this blog for all my giant art projects in the years to come, because watching a project from a paper blue print to reality is not only beautiful to witness but also fulfilling in a way.
I finished the head and almost finished glueing on all the leaves
I completed painting TreeHead and have started to glue on little red leaves which are only red on one side (yes it infuriates me) I also drew eyes and at this moment I have no idea what I’m going to do after I finish glueing on the leaves.
