no pronouns, it/its. this is my alt specifically for trans issues. I have another account I use to talk about bi discourse (not hiding at all 😭 ask me and I’ll probably give it to you). May move to this account if I like this one better ^^
I allow anons! Just please be respectful.
I do censor some terms to avoid harassment. use this to find my TAGLIST and understand some keywords: link
VIEWS SUMMARIZED
- I use monosexual, allosexual/romantic, bimisogyny etc.
- I don’t believe that other trans people have tme privilege but I use the terms TME/TMA frequently. I believe a lot of the reasoning behind “tme trans privilege” often comes with ignoring and downplaying our experiences and often comes from a framework centered around Julia Serrano and Talia Bhatt (the latter being one I especially have issue with). I do believe there are areas where transfems are more vulnerable and other trans people are not and vice versa!
- I do not like transmedicalism or any form of performative twitter transsexual bs that likes to hide behind “knowing the differences between transgenders and I”
- don’t like cissexual as a term bc it’s mostly a term used to denote privilege to ANY person who isn’t currently medically transitioning. It’s also something coined by Julia Serrano and have many eyebrow raises at how she talks about certain groups which led her to even coin that in the first place.
- I believe in biphobia and read about bi theory and activism frequently. Please don’t be biphobic and expect me to agree.
- my view on inclus is you can have labels and Thats not my business, but I’m not removing critique of anything even if it’s in “good faith”. So if you’re a sapphic man or bi lesbian irdc…but I do criticize some talking points and culture around it.
- I believe in anti-transmasculinity. I don’t use “transandrophobia” or “transmisandry” because the former takes from a term describing women’s trauma (I think that’s innapropiate) and the latter is using a term for MRA’s which will never be excusable
- I don’t believe cis men go through gendered oppression on the basis of being cis men. Almost all example of cis men experiencing “gendered oppression” is due to intersections.
- not proship or anti ship. Idc about your kinks, I have a few dark ones too. But I don’t believe shipping and fiction is above criticism. I also mostly agree with himejoshis points on fujo discourse. Not completely, but I understand. Don’t expect this account to take a mostly pro fujo stance or a side at all.
terfs ability to take any sort of experience of trans womens and twist it into something nefarious is wild. I highly doubt you see lonely cis women envying girls who are prettier or more popular than them and then berate them for having that goal.
This app is a safe space for the worst type of people: TERFs, pro paras, and diet MRA's who think they've stopped it all by using bell hooks and intersectionality to lecture people about the horrors of misandry...none of them can admit they are MRA's, though, despite that being a tactic taken straight out of the MRA textbook.
You're not allowed to call me an MRA, but I treat misandry as an actual prejudice that makes you untrustworthy and dangerous. Go ahead and add anti-white and heterophobia into that, since we are so on board with intersectionality as an excuse. There's a reason y'all know not to.

idk what it is, but people have convinced themselves that the response to straight women being homophobic is pretending that gay men are less likely to be misogynistic (not true in any material sense, genuinely wtf are yall talking about) or pretending that cis gay men do not benefit from patriarchy because of homophobia.
idk who needs to tell y'all this, but intersectionality does not stop cis men who are queer from benefiting from patriarchy just bc homophobia is rooted in misogyny. It literally just means they are affected by it differently. You guys do not think straight women stop benefiting from the homophobia just bc its rooted in misogyny. y'all don't apply this logic to ANY other type of oppression, actually.
The person who said y'all are using "intersectionality" to soft launch misandry as a moral failing and downplay misogyny was 100% correct. Tumblr has an MRA problem.
I generally do not believe in writing off any sort of theory or framework because it was created by a bad person...because most, if not all, theories we have about almost anything have been created by someone who's done something morally grey or evil that could easily contradict the values of any meaningful leftism. but I fear when that bigotry is seaping through their work, we then have to criticize the theory and framework as well.
That's why I am critical of Julia Serano (like you should be with all authors) while still enjoying a lot of her writing and not immediately writing off anything she has done. It's why I do not believe throwing whipping girl at someone's face is gonna lead to anything fruitful when she herself has backtracked on what she's said in that book multiple times.
One thing I do like about tme/tma is that it gives us an easy and short way to describe the trans people we are talking about. It's basically "nontransfem" at this point (despite julia serano saying even cis men can experience transmisogyny), and I'm not exactly angry at it for some reason. it also gives a lot of transfems a way to describe their experiences so I also want it to say as well.
Hey, theyfab and theymab are still derogatory; you're not fooling anyone.
idk why people are so adamant on having theyfab be some complex, intellectual feminist terminology. The earliest recordings we have of it is straight from 4chan, and dishonest Twitter users have been trying to rebrand it with little proof other than "well, my friends said so" and "you must listen to me because you should listen to trans women". It's extremely cheap.
The usage of theyfab has been mostly negative and weaponized against any trans person perceived to be "afab" that does not immediately want to assimilate (aka divorce from their transness and be treated exactly like cis people), or even if they do want to assimilate, they are still called it if they do not pass enough due to whatever arbitrary standard. expecting non-binary people or any tme trans person to suddenly take a liking to a word that is still widely used as "non-binary person I don't like" (even by the feminists who pretend they're using it in an abstract, liberating way) is odd. The only people who should be rebranding that and giving it a new purpose are the people actually affected by that terminology. There was even a study on it's usage in 4chan spaces, and the results revealed that the nature of the usage was mostly negative. Nothing about "fighting transmisogyny" was mentioned or referenced. Not even implied. Here's the study, by the way: link.
series of excerpts from the link:
I would say the only politically "activist" or "left-leaning" attempt to define theyfabs is one that is transmedicalist, not feminist in any sort of reality. They offer up theyfabs as the evil counterpart of humble transsexuals simply trying to transition, but are being cock blocked by theyfabs saying they are valid. Or if not that, theyfabs simply existing without medically transitioning, while still calling themselves trans, is apparently a personal attack against true transsexuals. It's like stolen valor to them.
The study very explicitly acknowledges it as a misogynistic term weaponized against non-binary people. It's been published (or finished) as recently as May 2024.
The interpretation of the term as feminist and subversive is recent, probably only 2-3 years old at the most, and is being pedalled every now and then by the same group of big "transfeminist" and discourse accounts on Twitter. I have searched for theyfab, and most are using it in a context that is mocking their trans identity. usually things like mocking them for not adopting sufficiently male names, fashion sense, or mannerisms. We are still having conversations where people are trying to convince you that their use of that term is some sort of justice or activism, because they just want to normalize 4chan terminology. That's it. Almost all discourse started by trans 4channers vs people who don't like their language almost always happens because they are upset that most trans people are not willing to bow to their ideology. So they do three things (and this just applies to 4channers in general):
rebrand and redefine things to either make them out as a joke or activist in nature so that more leftist spaces start accepting their rhetoric instead of pushing back.
spread their language around the internet so it becomes more normalized and less associated with their bigotry
play into pity to make people feel bad for them for acting the way they do, instead of criticizing them. It's why when we called out trans 4channers for making literal caricatures of trans women, the immediate response and demand was to make them out as miserable and pitiful beings who need to be gently told: "Hey, I don't think this is good for you". They know that more than you think. They don't care.
If the term was coined or popularized with feminist intention, theymab would also not exist as a commonly used counterpart. If it was coined to criticize the weaponization of agab against trans women, who are supposed to be "amab" in the theyfab's eyes, why would you ever coin theymab? How could a trans person weaponize an agab against trans women that they believe trans women share? I'm not saying it's impossible, but that is not how theymab is used, and that's why I know y'all are bullshitting. The fact that this word hasn't been reinterpreted and lied about to be feminist in nature shows me that this isn't the intention of theyfab at all. It is used almost identically to "agp" and usually comes with implying that the theymab is predatory. Ironically, they are creating the same stereotypes leveraged at trans women for supposedly being amab and do not register this as hypocritical...because they actually transitioned. They are passable and therefore true women, so it does not matter what transfems they weaponize this language against. What's funny is that many claim that even when trans women don't pass, or are not currently transitioning, they are still treated as women. So, which is it? cause if passing does not hinder a trans woman's ability to consider themselves women, why are "theymabs" being treated differently because of it?
There's a reason none of you can come up with solid evidence for it originally being interpreted that way, but we can find many instances of it on 4chan as another piece of trash in the transmedicalist jargon bin.
Divestors do this, and I was a victim of them and fell for their pipeline. extremely dangerous. While I have no problem with women venting out their oppression, we must base our feminism and the betterment of women in general on more than just "I dislike men". Misandry isn't activism, it's just a coping mechanism.
It's how we get people praising nonblack men, and especially the white kinds, for doing the bare minimum when in relationships with black women...as if white men don't make up a good majority of family annihilators. very naive and male-centered...but they have convinced themselves because they hate men, they are incapable of centering them.

"Anonsee, what is Transfeminist Womanism?"
Transfeminist Womanism itself is a synthesis of both eponymous ideologies, seeking to fill the gaps formed within each that often leave out Black trans women - racism within transfeminism, transmisogyny within womanism - when Black trans women are often the people that need those ideologies the most. Transfeminist Womanism is a primarily Abolitionist ideology, finding value in the rhetoric, knowledge, tactics, and tools of anarchism, communism, and other ideologies without falling directly into any of those categories.
Additionally, I've curated a "Foundational" folder that gives guided reading to help understand the underlying principles and thoughts behind Transfeminist Womanism.

I hate how terfs and radical feminism in general have a monopoly on feminist conversations. It's very boring and tiring. the only place that I see that does not have the terf kind of radfems are transfeminists (still mostly radfem though, so fuck my life) and intersectional feminists who just talk about bell hooks and how cis men go through gendered oppression (how do you make feminism about cis men? classic mra thing to weaponize intersectional feminism and then mostly just center marginalized cis men and barely acknowledge women until it can benefit cis men).
Is there a side of the transfem vs transmasc discourse that doesn't like theyfab as a term, doesn't mind tme/tma but acknowledges there is nuance, does not like misandry and androphobia as terms taken out of their context (and then acting shocked when people are offput by that), and also does not like Talia Bhatt?
cause I have all these viewpoints, but neither transandrophobia nor the transfeminist side likes hearing that so.
like. this place is weirdly. male dominated to the point that even the women you talk about are men. and i don’t mean that in a trans misogynistic way (lots of that here too though!) i just. like where are the women? don’t you like any? don’t you talk about any? don’t you have any female anything you enjoy or discuss? because man.... the only time i ever see women on my dash is from lesbians.
this post has been making rounds in my absence and I just wanted to reiterate that this post is NOT about trans women. They’re women and they also deserve to feel safe and included in spaces. Part of the reason I made this post to begin with is because I noticed the sheer lack of respect towards characters people headcanon as trans fem and it made me upset to realize that misogyny is so prevalent in these supposedly “leftist queer” spaces that’s it’s started to ostracize trans women and lesbians and even people who just like female characters. Do better. Do some introspection.
when people do that to mention their male blorbos and joke about their male babygirls...I'm sorry, have you lost your mind? Is there anytime where your brain isn't filled with tumblrsexymanslop speech???

"Women are warm and nurturing and they have powerful intuitions!" is benevolent sexism. Benevolent sexism upholds misogyny by praising women for things women are "supposed" to be good at and romanticizing roles women are "supposed" to play under a patriarchal system.
Also, like, benevolent sexist stereotypes are definitely used to make those who don't fit them feel like failures as women (especially queer women/trans women/woc/neurodivergent women/etc).
And on the flip side, they're also used to deny women who are skilled at those things credit for their accomplishments. It's easy for people to dismiss an excellent childcare worker when her "~magical gender intuition makes her naturally good at it~".
Gay men (cis AND trans, gay FTMs do this shit, too) who feel the need to express their sexuality as a repulsion to women rather than a love/appreciation of men are pathetic to me.
For a show whose third season is so heavily focused on sex workers, this Sam Levinson guy verrrrry clearly has no fucking respect for women working in the sex industry. In fact, I might label it a genuine hatred at this point
