HAPPY RELATIONSHIPS

(Psalm 103:1-22)

INGREDIENTS TO HAVE A HAPPY RELATIONSHIP

I. FOCUSING ON THE GOOD

v2 "...forget not all his benefits"

● Happy relationships are not perfect relationships, but they are PURPOSE-FOCUSED relationships (Purposely look at the good of a person)

>> Bakit? Walang perperkto! Pareho lang kayo, at hindi lahat magugustuhan mo sa kanya - Focusing on the good!

● Happy relationships are purpose-focused until you choose focusing on the fault of others.

>> Imposibleng lahat sa kanya ay ayaw mo, may magugustuhan ka pa rin; (either its your partner, parents, churchmates, friends)

>> Huwag maghahanap ng bagay na ayaw mo, kahit ikaw may hindi maganda sa'yo.

II. FORGIVENESS

v3 "Who forgiveth all thine iniquities..."

● People will do wrong, but you must be willing to forgive them when they do wrong.

● Unforgiving Christians do not please God (Ephesians 4:31-32)

● Mark 11:25-26 - if you don't forgive, He won't forgive you..

● FORGIVENESS - for a happy relationship!

III. MERCY

vs 4&8 (Mercy is not getting what we deserved)

● Relationships are made up of imperfect people, so mercy is necessary to overlook their bad days (faults) so that you can get along.

- The reason kung bakit nag-eenjoy tayo sa blessing ng Lord dahil Siya ay Diyos na maawain.

● Psalm 103:13

>> Pero hindi ibig sabihin ay babalewalain mo ang kanyang kasalanan, pero huwag mong kalimutan na nagkakasala ka rin.

IV. YOU MUST BE SLOW TO ANGER

v8 The LORD is slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy"

● God is slow to anger with His people; you have to be slow in anger to have a happy relationship.

>> Hindi mo hawak/kontrol ang iba, pero kontrol mo ang sarili mo; kapag mabilis kang magalit sa iba, inilalagay mo sa kamay nila ang happiness mo.

● ANGER DESTROYS RELATIONSHIP WITH THOSE YOU LOVE THE MOST!

V. Happy Relationships Have an END TO PUNISHMENT (vs. 9-10)

>> Nagagalit ang Diyos pero hindi 'forever'; natatapos din.

>> Ang Diyos namamalo rin pero may katapusan; hindi palagi.

● God removes your trangressions, so you must stop holding against others something that they have done in the PAST (WALA NANG PAGSUMBAT!)

>> Never say NEVER

---- Huwag kang magtutuldok

---- Hayaan mo ang Diyos na baguhin ka; na palambutin ang puso mo.. At baguhin ang kagalit mo.

● Psalm 130:3 If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

>> Ang Diyos kung magpatawad... PAST, PRESENT, FUTURE!!!

● I John 1:9 - Ang Diyos NAGPAPATAWAD at NAGLILINIS

>> Ang lesson don kung nagkasala ka at humingi ka ng tawad, at nagawa mo ulit 'yung kasalanan mo sa kahapon, yung kahapon napatawad na 'yon! Anong sabi sa I John 1:9? "cleanse us", nilinis na Niya tayo. Ang hingi mo ng tawad 'yung nagawa mo ngayon.

● Huwag ka magparusa (sa iba)

● Huwag ka manumbat.

VI. Happy Relationship Remember the Other is FLESH

● Stop holding on unfair standard of perfection

>> Huwag tayong perfectionist!

>> Mas mahirap kapag 'yung anak mo, 'yung partner mo, ay may gustong sabihin sa iyo pero hindi masabi dahil lagi kang galit.

VII. Happy Relationships Praise THE WORKS of Others (v22)

● Huwag puro pintas!

● Tulungan mo siya para mag improve

● Tingnan mo ang tamang ginawa; 'yung pagsisikap!

● You can build a happy relationship with people if you praise them for good that they do instead of being critical at them.

>> Appreciate mo ang ginawa ng iba, ito man ay partner mo, kasamahan mo sa simbahan.. etc.
