Today we got to cut the ribbon on the (almost finished) Rooster Teeth Healing Garden. The impact of Dell Children’s opening their new mental health unit to the community not only benefits the children who come through their doors - it sends a greater message to every other children’s hospital across the country. It signifies mental health as an imperative part of human health; something to be addressed with the same urgency as physical health. This unit sets a standard for all children’s hospitals and I am so, so grateful to every single person who has contributed to our @roosterteeth @extralife4kids efforts for having played a crucial part in ending the stigma of mental illness. Thank you so much to Dell Children’s for letting us be a part of this incredible, important work, and for naming this garden, here in our community, so that we might stay inspired and driven and fierce in our charge to fight all childhood disease equally - including mental illness. What an absolute honour.

I got one of these over the break and it’s great!

Sis gave me this for Christmas, it’s even more amazing than I thought cuz when you charge it it’s red like a blood moon, when you unplug it just touch a small silver circle, the only part non identical to the moon’s features, and it lights up, you can make it bright white or yellowish with a tap of the finger, hold the tip of your finger on the same spot to make it brighter or darker. And the details must be 3d printed cause when it lights up its a perfect replica of the moon, even the far side, not like the cheap lumpy knock offs at toy stores, this is a real detailed thoughtful peice of art. Best part, I get to carry the moon around with me to light my path at night, fall asleep reading by moonlight, and guess what…I actually have the moon that people have been fantasizing for centuries about capturing, lassoing, and bringing down to earth as a show of their love. I finally have the moon!

my cousin’s cat was acting really weird today, freaking out and not letting anyone near her, hissing and growling, and it got so concerning they decided to take her to the vet

it took two adults to get the cat into the carrier and in the process my aunt got clawed so badly she had to go to the emergency room for shots/stitches, so eventually the cat gets to the vet

the vet has to sedate her to take a look and it turns out she has a piece of tape on her leg that’s scaring her real bad. and that’s all

But she’s so insecure, it still breaks my heart. So when she starts an argument with “you don’t love me.” Do not get upset. Remind her you do and the reasons why. She’ll come around. The cat comes first. Always. Don’t ever think otherwise. Make her tea and remember the way she takes her coffee. She will notice. When she’s having an anxiety attack, wrap her up in your arms and rub her back. Tell her she’s safe and remind her that she has medication if she needs it. If you cannot treat her like royalty, let someone else. That girl deserves the world. Losing her is a pain you will never shake. Your world will come crashing down on you and those pieces won’t ever fit the way they used to. Don’t let her go. She will love you with all she’s got. Please give her the same.
