Thanks EX-BF
I will literally never believe your 20s are meant to be the prime of your life. The years immediately following your adolescence? When youâre entrenched in the battlefields of un/learning, healing, and growing? Yeah right
Be who you truly are, with an open heart and open mind, to experience true beauty. Everything is here for you, always. #quoteoftheday

Dramatic 2019?
The first half of this year was pretty dramatic with the cousinâs wedding drama (including the family scandal drama) followed by resignation drama at my former company and then most recently the annoying friend drama during my Europe trip. I just hope the second half of the year is less dramatic! I need a break ahhaha
Feeling mooody
Donât forget to...
âWhen we love, we always strive to become better than we are. When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too.â â Paulo Coelho
âItâs the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting.â â Paulo Coelho
Someone once told me that human beings have three dimensions: how you see yourself, how others see you, and how you want others to see you. The closer the distance between the three dimensions, the more at peace you are and the more stable you become.
Marwa Rakha, The Poison Tree (via wordsnquotes)
If a friend doesnât respect you and insults you directly or indirectly, they donât deserve to have a place in your life. Donât be afraid of standing up for yourself and saying goodbye to toxic friends.
I learn the hard way that I cannot always count on others to respect my feelings. Even if I respect theirs. Being a good person doesn't guarantee that others will be good people too. You only have control over yourself and how you choose to be as a person. As for others, you can only choose to accept them or walk away.
Tired of being underestimated
Find people who will appreciate you and what you have done. It will be the best gift you give to yourself. Stand tall and donât take CRAP from anyone. https://www.talinorfali.wordpress.com/2012/03/31/when-you-are-too-nice-to-people-thats-a-recipe-for-people-taking-advantage-of-you/
Being a Independent Woman!
A successful, independent woman knows what she wants in this world. She WILL NOT stop until she is satisfied. She NEVER settles for anything less than everything. She speaks her mind in every situation. She stands up for what she believes in and wonât stop until she is finished. This woman is always on top of her game. She stays ready to achieve success, so she never has to get ready!
True
annoying indian relatives
I have very limited emotional bonding with them. They have totally different mentalities and act very different because they are from small indian towns. I donât get them and vice versa. I have been brought up in a very different environment and its sad that my parents donât understand. I have friends who r brought up in India but I can connect with them because they are upper middle class english speaking indians educated in good English-medium schools. On the other hand,my relatives are from the lower middle class from small towns studying in Bengali medium schools. Its not about class or arrogance here. its just the way I have been brought up is similar to how a city bred english medium educated Indian person grows up. Simple as that.
musings..
My mom still has such a small Indian town mentality....its sad that even after all these years she has not embraced a globalised city mentality. I am not berating her or anything but people need to adjust with times. She doesnât understand no matter how many times I make her understand...It seems like she can criticize me and expect me to change myself but she would never change herself. damn annoying!
