Mild context for this headcanon I have: I have alpha gal syndromes so I ant have red meat because it makes violently ill and I am projecting majorly

I headcanon that on tour if they absolutely couldn't get Frank the foods he needed Frank would quite literally order fast food with the least amount of meat and he'd try to pick at it so he doesn't eat meat(it doesn't work great)

I feel like that probs has happened. It's what I do whenever I can't find anything that doesn't have cheese on it.

i'm back at reading fanfics - the one i read during it's peak (2017-ish) still hits just as hard. oh my god.

That's fair. I can't find any of the old fics I used to read at that time because Wattpad nuked anything inappropriate. Most of the fics I read at that time were Frerard high school AU or Kellic psych hospital AU(before my Wattpad got nuked my Kellic fic was in the top 20 for that ship)

I always see waycest shippers move on to oasis and like🥹🥹🥹why man. the music ain't good and their awful people. they really don't deserve support :/ I know the incest is good and all but do you not care about anything else?

RPF of any one ≠ condoning real world actions or people. Its the equivalent of playing with barbie dolls. As a waycest fan it is none of my business what other people move onto. This would be no different than people being judgemental because I shifted from waycest to Gerard/Bert step cest because Bert was extremely destructive both to himself and others when he was closest with Gerard. Just because you consume fictional content of real people doesnt mean you condone their real world bad behaviors.

I’ve been trying to find this fic, maybe from years back? All I remember is it’s mostly from Frank’s point of view, Gerard maybe moves in with him into his apartment, at some point Gerard runs off to LA because of his borderline personality disorder so Frank turns to prostitution. There’s a chapter where Gerard comes back and is waiting for Frank outside his apartment in the cold and Frank ignores him at first. Does anyone remember this fic or have the name or artist??

my main problem with the trans gerard thing is that the people who act like its real are often doing it to fulfill their sexual desires and i dont think they realise how disrespectful they sound

like, people can pretend ray and frank are women or whatever, but that's rpf... did we forget playing with dolls. people who are CERTAIN gerard is a trans women need to do some self reflection on why they're so opposed to a gender fluid man

I can't speak for all trans people, but I feel like pointing this out: this is Incredibly harmful to transmen in the community. transmen are people who are often silenced. either because people don't take them seriously for being afab, or because theyre men, people aren't willing to accept they suffer discrimination and rights need to be fought for

here's an experiment I urge mcr fans to do. would you be treating gerard like that if they were a transman? would you be treating a trans man who's expressed they prefer he/they pronouns and all that like a woman?

I mean I am trans myself my main issue with this is people especially on tiktok refuse to keep it within the sphere of RPF only. I have personally seen a steady rise in anti trans man and just masc presenting individuals over the past decade now and its to the point things trans men and trans masc individuals in the past are being written off as "secret lesbians" or "girl bosses". This is the main gripe I have with the "Gerard is 100% a trans woman" thing. People may not realize it now but Gerard is a major part of queer history just from the impact his music has had on the queer community alone. When you take into account they are fluid in gender presentation and how vocal he has been about queer issues since before the band was famous it is very clear they are a huge piece of modern queer history and yet people want to completely erase a key part of that by claiming he's just a trans woman(again nothing wrong with trans women). Gerard was and still is a key player in gender non conformity from amab individuals.

Yeah its something that's been steadily building since 2012 and its ridiculous. People have shifted from toxic masculinity to wanting everyone to denounce any form of masculinity. Its just strange how open they are about it when it comes to gender non conforming people like Gerard.

controversial take here I don't think gerards a trans woman. he's a man and it's disrespectful to say otherwise unless he comes out in his own time which he hasn't😭

People tend to cite that tweet where he said he uses he/they alongside an old interview where Gerard said they've always been more in touch with femininity as evidence when in reality all it confirms is Gerard has fluid presentation. Personally I think its gotten to the point where anyone who is gender non conforming and or queer in anyway are expected to abandon masculinity. Its a major issue on tiktok within the MCR fan base on there. Its to the point I have seen them claim Frank and Ray are secretly (and I quote) "trans lesbians who are femme leaning butches". Like sure you can cite sources from interviews from the past with members of the band not fitting cleanly into heteronormative boxes but at the end of the day we as fans have no knowledge of labels if they even label themselves at all. I think a lot of younger fans forget that the members all experienced the 90s and 2000s hatred towards anything queer so like why would they be open about it like people who experienced the 2010s and 2020s view of anything queer? People have seemingly forgotten how much stigma there was(and still is) when it comes to queer people.
