Talk about your system making you happy or sharing your successes? Someone out there is going to say that you're faking it for attention. Real systems always hate themselves and their experiences.

Talk about your system as nothing but suffering and loss and trauma hell? You're exaggerating for attention and being miserable on purpose. Real systems are too ashamed to talk about their trauma and pain (and, of course, they aren't supposed to know about it in the first place)- or real systems have no trouble accepting everything, because it's only ever fun and easy to be plural.

Silly jokes that don't even mention DID? You're mocking a serious disorder. Serious conversation about how to live your life better? That doesn't help me, so it's not supposed to help you. You must be lying.

If someone is going to find an excuse to judge you no matter what you share, then why are you catering to them? It's your life, not theirs. Share what helps you. Kinder folks will thank you for it.

We post about our silly, weird, and uplifting moments alongside our serious and painful ones because our life is both. Struggling doesn't make the joy less real. Joking around and loving each other doesn't mean you don't struggle sometimes.
