If anyone was wondering, I am still alive! Yeah I guess I've fallen out of fandom for the time being, for a few reasons, and I do miss it a lot. That said, my creative energies are going into some other projects right now like my podcast and film history lectures and audiobook narrating so maybe that explains it. I was just over here for a sec and wanted to check in with y'all. I wish I could maintain the fervor and energy of fandom at all times, and it's just not how I work, I guess.

On their way back to England from Kenya, Paul McCartney and Mal Evans bandy about words and Paul comes up with the name Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.

A plane is also where he came up with the Magical Mystery Tour circle so I guess this incident made him cocky.

After an argument with his band mates, Paul McCartney storms out of the studio, drives off angrily, misses a light, and is decapitated.

No one will know this for a few years, because the Beatles will hire Bill Shepherd/Billy Shears as a stand-in. It will take diligent work by fans studying the deep lore to reveal this fact, however.

As of this writing, Billy Shears is still alive and well and has now written way more music than Paul McCartney.
