He tilted his head, eyes glittering. Oh, this was going to be fun. “But, Ladybug, I’m so worried for her,” he let his eyes go wide, trying to hide his extreme amusement. “What if she gets hurt? I feel like it’s important to protect her, she’s so sweet and innocent…” He bit the inside of his cheek hard to keep a straight face.
He’d missed messing with his Queen. Little did he know… He took her hand, pressing a gentle kiss to her knuckles, and glancing up to see if he’d managed to get a blush out of her. He wondered: how would she react to him starting this in school…?
But he could certainly have a little bit of fun like this. He draped his arms around her, biting his lip and letting his eyelashes flutter. “Oh, Ladybug,” he purred in a way he hoped was seductive. “Why on Earth would any man, given the chance, let go of you?” He moved, so his lips were nearly brushing against her ear. Oh, how he had missed this part of being Chat Noir. “I’m not scared,” he whispered. “I know you’re going to protect me. After all, isn’t that what angels do?”
He ran his tongue over his lips, very much playing up both the Casanova and Damsel in Distress roles to their fullest value. Maybe this wasn’t the time or place… and maybe he should save the flirting for when they weren’t surrounded by rotting corpses who wanted to attack them… and maybe he was being a bit too much at that moment… but he’d missed her, even if she’d been right there the whole time, it wasn’t as if he’d been aware of that. It wasn’t like it was obvious that Bridgette and Ladybug were remotely close to one another, much less the same person.
He pulled back, meeting her eyes and flashing his trademarked grin. “So, beautiful Lady, are you going to help save my darling classmate? I need your vow she will return to me safe.” This would drive her crazy, he figured. After all, it was no secret that he didn’t harbor any adoration for Bridgette. But her reaction was sure to be a hell of a lot of fun to see.
Bridgette wasn’t amused in the least. While he was laying it on so thick it was obvious it was a joke, a part of her actually felt hurt. She was - she was just a joke to him, wasn’t she? Some nuisance and - and damn pest that no one really cared about? Is that the joke he was trying to make? That it was just so funny that she might be missing or something?
He never smiled. He never laughed, he never seemed happy, and now he did. Making fun of her, throwing Bridgette's identity into her face. That was the time he showed he was happy? When - when it was at her own expense?
What kind of person was Félix after all?
While he thought he might have been being silly or funny, her eyes showed another emotion, and it was pain. Those pretty blues he'd been so desperate to stare at him with love and affection to help whatever situation he had going in the past, no, they would never show him that. In fact, Bridgette might never give him that look either.
"Don't worry, she can take care of herself without your... Concern," her tone was deadpan, and once he wrapped his arms around her neck she was throwing her yoyo to the rafters, testing the string strength and soon yanking their bodies upward. Even as he tried to play along her ear, nip or graze or whatever, all she did was tip her head away in slight disgust, "I don't know what's gotten into you, but that's highly inappropriate behavior for someone like you, y'know. Don't worry about your classmate. I'll get her back just fine, she's probably already waiting for you to leave like she asked you to, if I recall."
Whatever reaction he'd been hoping for, it probably wasn't obvious disdain. Or at least quiet hurt. She was already moving from rafter to rafter, body coiling and reaching in ways that a normal girl shouldn't be able to, though the suit provided her with coverage and a bit easier movement, it only gave her the means to be what she already was. It wasn't long before she spotted the exit sign with a working door below, and she tossed her yoyo down to break the handle off so it swung open and stayed that way, revealing the daylight outside.
"Go. I have to get everyone else out of here before someone gets hurt. Your classmates will be fine, I'll find her and everyone'll be out of this place," she didn't wait for a response, she peeled his arms off of her and lowered him with her yo yo to the ground below, "Please hurry, I don't know what's happening out there, and I can't risk any one else getting dragged off."
