So… until recently I was always shy about commenting and giving feedback on fanfics. (I really regret that since I read so fucking much without leaving any comments.) I thought that they wouldn’t care, the fic is abandoned or old or simply has 600 other comments. There are people who never reply, maybe abandoned fic writing altogether, but the replies I got made me think how stupid I was that I never wrote even a fucking smiley for them.

It matters, they are just human beings like you and me and believe me I didn’t write more than a few nice lines to them, for some of them I did nothing but smashed my keyboard. Literally. You can pop into their inbox on tumblr as anonymous if you are that uncomfortable about leaving a comment. (Why tho? Some of you are not shy to read the dirtiest porn ever, but leaving a comment makes you blush …. ? )

Not all of them are popular fic writers and trust me, there are people who don’t have anyone to share their love for something other than the fandom and the strangers on the internet. But even if their works are the first ones if you got if you sort by Kudos, they love and need feedback because they don’t just post it for themselves online. I’m trying to go back to all the fics I’ve read and leave a comment, as a fic writer myself I know how good it feels, especially if your work gets lost in thousands(!) of other fics.
