Guide: Lavender Milk Tea to Hypnos
Hello! Sorry this guide took so long, been busy with college! Here is a guide on how to devote Lavender Milk Tea to Hypnos for either libations or simply devotional acts you can share with the healer!
Materials needed consist of:
Lavender Tea Packet(Symbol of Hypnos)
Teaspoon or any mixing tool
First of all, you'd want to start by boiling yourself some water. I personally use a tea kettle. I know some people just put it in the microwave, but I just prefer the taste when it's boiling on the stove. Make sure you are careful!
After that, you want to carefully pour it into a cup or mug after placing the tea inside so it can better soak into the water. Prayer ideas for these actions will be placed at the bottom. I'm planning to get a mug that is centered around flowers or any sort of Hypnos symbol for the next time I make lavender milk tea!
Now, Honey is a food commonly offered to The God of Sleep. This is why I put honey instead of sugar. You'd want to prepare your mixing tool while pouring honey into the tea until you have your preferred sweetness. Make sure you don't put too much honey, it may overwhelm the lavender flavor.
Next, pour your milk and mix. I personally pray throughout most of these steps, I pray or simply talk to Hypnos. It makes the experience gentler :)
I prefer to put my milk tea in the freezer, but you can also drink it hot! Either way it's delicious! You may also pour it to Hypnos or leave it upon His altar. I prefer to "drink it with Him" as you will see in the prayers below. But yes! Your tea is now done :)
"Hypnos who rest in flowers among Erebus, child of Nyx, father of Morpheus, Great God of Rest. I devote this act to you, may this milk aid my rest, may this lavender help my dreams, and may this honey soothe me as you do. Hypnos, winged God who loves His devotees with all, may I feel your love through this tea. May you taste it with me, Sleep Bringer. My gratitude to you is infinite, and may you feel it so. Thank you for listening to this prayer."
"Father of our Dreams, Hypnos God of Sleep. With your branch that drips from the river lethe, you bring us the gentlest part of life as you put your hand to our faces and bring us the loving dreams. To you I create this to, with you in my mind I rest and devote, may this tea be set upon your altar as a sign of my devotion. Hypnos at the throne of rest, see my worship, for I am forever grateful to you. Thank you for all, thank you for listening to this prayer."
