I've been gone for so long...would people be mad if I abandoned this entire tumblr thing and made a new one?
Like with a new email and then all my characters together in one place that I still plan on using?
Update on why I haven't been around.
So as some of you know, I've been in pain daily at varying degrees since February. I had to leave my job because of the pain.
Recently I had an MRI and the results came back with the news that I have spinal stenosis in a few of my vertebrae, as well as bulging discs and pinched nerves.
I have an appointment coming up next week with a doctor at my local clinic and the week after with a doctor at a spine center. I'm hoping that soon, I'll have a way to treat this pain. However, until then; I doubt I'll have any muse to write with or the stamina to actually sit down and write.
Thank you all for understanding and I understand if you wish to drop threads.
We are getting solar, so we have people redoing the roof. The dogs have not stopped barking for 2 hours.
Sorry I havent been around. I've still been dealing with a lot of pain.
Update
Still in a lot of pain. MRI on Friday so hopefully the doctors can figure out a treatment plan.
For all that was going on in that moment, Peter was surprisingly calm as he let this guy, Wade, work on explaining everything. He didn't fully understand him and found himself with more questions than he had answers, but at least the other guy was willing to give him. Mostly. The slap was a little weird...as was the talking in third person, not that he could judge since he found himself doing that sometimes lately, but Wade was obviously insane so he was trying to accept them as perks or something.
"Tentacles?" Peter whispered, his brow furrowing as his mind went to a far off place he never expected it to go. Sure, he's seen those, uh, videos online more than a few times, but those were just cartoons! Okay, yeah, sure, people were talking in forums about how it could possibly be possible now with all the constant weirdness going on, and, y'know, aliens, but he wouldn't ever...would he? Noooo...no.... "Wait, no, I know about the multiverse. I've met myself, I'm great. Seriously, ten out of ten, would hang out with those guys again, but I still don't get how you're here. We-I...I did something to...close it. Kind of..." Honestly? Peter didn't want to talk about it. He didn't want to get deep in his feels right now or tell Wade about everyone he's lost, and he didn't want think about the soul crushing realization that what he did didn't work. It didn't matter. So, instead, his ADHD happily latched on to something else like a dog with a bone. "You're forty? Dude? Is there a universe that doesn't have good looking superheroes?"
"Me? Superhero? Ah, Petie pie, I kill people for money. I'm not a superhero. I just have super powers."
He looked at Peter, hoping that the other understood that he was absolutely not a good person. Okay, so maybe he had morals unlike some other Mercs. Like he wouldn't kill kids. And after all that had happened, he was really more of an anti-hero than anything. Though he did still take some jobs. They were mostly to kill bad people. Even if they were for other bad people.
"Listen. Kid. I'm not a good person. That's why I'm stunningly attractive. But seriously, the smooth skin is a recent development. I used to be covered in scars and cancer; but I got that cancer cured and now I'm smooth as a baby's bottom and handsome again."
He watched Peter for a few moments before looking away.
"Truth is, you're too good for me. Just like Vanessa was too good for me."
"I'll give you a weeks notice. But I may not be around for a little while. I need to know that I'm not a danger to you or anyone else before I even consider showing my face again. And...a week after that..."
He smiled.
"I want to make you happy, Q. I want to see you smile."
"I can understand, you don't need to worry about that. I'll be busy with work anyway... Like always. I like working." He would also need to work out how to explain all of this to Marcus.
He tipped his head to the side, confused. "I do smile." He was sure he smiled a lot... Perhaps not big smiles he had been taught that a completely blank expression tended to result in most people asking 'are you okay?' every few minutes.
"A real smile, Q. Not the type to hide how you're really feeling. I know all about those sorts of smiles you give to hide yourself from the world."
And Jon wanted to be the reason Q smiled. Wanted to be the reason he felt happiness.
He wanted to reach out...to touch Q's cheek, but he was afraid.
Eventually, Jordan brought Q back to work, and for the next month, Jon worked to learn control. For Q.
When he returned to work with Q, he smiled, setting a single flower on his desk for the other man. Then he frowned as he looked at his armor.
"Guess I won't be needing this anymore."
Pietro finished his dinner at the same time as Peter. he smiled and gently placed his hands on Peter's hips. "Ain't that the age old stereotype? Shy nerd landing and dating the outgoing jock stud?" Pietro chuckled with a wink, flexing his arms for Peter while his hands were firmly planted on Peter's hips. "I wouldn't say lanky. Lean and toned sure but not lanky."
"You think?"
He lifted his shirt, showing off his muscular torso. He had a six pack, but it wasn't large. He looked perfect in a twink sort of way.
"Do you...want to touch me?"
Clark kissed and nipped at Bruce's neck when they broke the make out. Clark grinned his cock against Bruce's, throbbing and leaking pre onto the billionaire. "Do you want me raw or to use lube?" Clark asked, lips pressed against Bruce's skin. he trailed his lips across scars and battle wounds, kissing them occasionally as well.
"I"ve never had anything as big as you inside of me, Clark. If you don't use lube, I'm likely to be injured."
He chuckled.
"One day, maybe...but tonight, I need you to use lube."
UPDATE 5/25
Still in tons of pain, which means I can only do a few replies at a time before I need rest.
This suck. I've been in constant pain since February. Luckily I get an MRI Friday.
I also have a working interview on Friday (way before the MRI), so Wish me Luck!
Q felt his cheeks start to burn at the declaration; even if it were true, and he did believe that it was at this point, it still felt like he had done barely anything but sat there as time did most of the heavy lifting.
He became very still for a few seconds before his eyes lifted to not quite Jon's own, quiet contemplation on his face, then he nodded. "Okay... I would like tea out somewhere, it would be nice." And much more his kind of thing than most other dates his staff went on about. "Can you give me some notice though, please? I'll need to arrange cover at work." He smiled shyly.
"I'll give you a weeks notice. But I may not be around for a little while. I need to know that I'm not a danger to you or anyone else before I even consider showing my face again. And...a week after that..."
He smiled.
"I want to make you happy, Q. I want to see you smile."
"Starving. I'll eat anything but mushrooms. They're too like brains." Elliot declared, not offering any further explanation as he played with the amulet because it was making his magic feel so strange... Almost 'fizzy' inside his cells. "Something like beer or wine or whatever too please?" He asked as he offered Bruce a grin.
"Of course."
Bruce worked in the kitchen, as it was Alfred's day off. With ease he whipped up two beautiful steaks with glasses of red wine. There were roasted vegetables to go with the steaks, and he set a plate down before Elliot and one down before himself.
Alfred had insisted he learn how to cook. After all, Alfred would not be around forever and Bruce needed to know how to fend for himself.
"I hope you like it medium rare. It's the only way to truly have a steak."
"I lost them to Thanos.... I swore I'd take his head if I see him again" Blade said sadly before looking at his knee "But now look at me... I have a damn broken knee."
"And he's already dead."
Everyone thought it was Thor who did the killing...unless they had been on the ship. But who would want to believe that Loki was the hero of the day? That Loki had saved the Universe.
So he let others believe.
"I'm sorry for taking your glory."
"It's fine.... Even if I didn't kill him, I'm happy that mad Titan his dead" Blade said softly trying not to cry "It means my family can finally rest" he said softly before looking at Loki "Thank you for killing him... I owe you my life."
"You owe me nothing. I may not truly be of Asgard but it's people are my own, and I was doing it to protect them. I love the people of Asgard...even if it wasn't something they always believed."
He smiled softly.
"You'll be good as new in a few hours, and a few days rest will do you good."
Blade nods his head and smiles softly as his dark blue eyes looked into Loki's beautiful green eyes "Thank you, Loki... I'll try and rest to get better" he said softly, Blade didn't know what this feeling he felt in his chest when he was looking at Loki.
Loki gently squeezed Blade's shoulder.
"It's around lunch time. I'm going to go get you something to eat. You must be famished."
"I don't know of it, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist."
Pulling out his phone, which had been modified to accept his metal fingers, he typed in the names, and the company, but none of them came back with any hits.
"No Robert, Moira, or Oliver connected to a Queen Consolidated. No Queen Consolidated. I'm sorry. Looks like maybe you fell into another reality or something."
Sara slowly slid herself up into a seated position, wiping away blood that threatened to drip into her eyes. The world briefly spun before it righted itself again, and she was able to get her eyes to focus on James. And then he said the words that she’d been fearing. No Queen family, which likely meant no Lance family or anyone else connected to her. She’d gone backwards and forwards in time, had existed when technically none of them did. But this... This was different. They’d never existed here, never would exist. There was nothing to tether her to this place, no one she could go to for help. Not to mention, how would her team and the Waverider find her here? What if they’d all been scattered throughout time or realities? Or what if she was the only one to survive? Finally, she pointed out, “Got the superhero bit, but alternate realities - the idea doesn’t surprise you. Why?”
"I've dealt with them before. I grew up during the Great Depression and fought in World War Two...not sure if those things happened in your world. But it was a huge war...and the bad guys...a group called Hydra...they would do anything for victory. They were looking into other realities. Even opened a few doorways into some really bad places. Luckily my pal Steve and I closed them before anything could come through."
He shrugged.
"I've seen a lot, Sara. And I've lived a long time. So...it all seems to be old news to me now."
